Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 3012

Occasionally, Duncan would feed her snacks.

By the time the movie ended, Liberty was full to the brim thanks to Duncan. She said, “Great. I haven’t even eaten supper yet, but I’m all stuffed. Now I have to take another walk to digest what I’ve eaten.”

Duncan stood up. Liberty and the bodyguards hurried to support him as he walked outside.

Duncan laughed. “Please wheel me back to the hotel on foot then. That’ll be your workout.”

Liberty laughed too. “That’s fine with me, but if we’re walking all the way back, I might not be able to recognize the roads. If we get lost, we might end up spending the whole night walking in circles in Jensburg. You can’t blame me then.”

“I won’t.”

The sky was even darker now.

By the time they came out of the movie theater, the streets were no longer bustling, gradually becoming less crowded.

Liberty pushed Duncan as she walked slowly. The bodyguards followed them, protecting them silently.

As they walked, it began to snow.

“Duncan, it’s snowing. Let’s get in the car and hurry back to the hotel.”

After walking some distance, Liberty felt like her stomach was no longer bloated. Now that it was snowing, she also worried that the roads would get slippery and make it difficult to drive.

“Alright.”

Duncan had no objection. Whatever his darling Liberty said went.

The couple got into the car. It soon disappeared into the night.

By the time they got back to the hotel, Sonny had already fallen asleep.

Jim stayed with Sonny and only left to go back to his room when Liberty returned.

“Is Sonny asleep?”

Duncan entered the room to look in on Sonny. When he saw the little boy sleeping soundly, he tucked Sonny in and said, “The heating should be adjusted a little lower. There’s no need to set it too high—Sonny’s already sweating.”

Sonny was feeling so hot he kicked off his blankets

Liberty adjusted the heating to a few degrees lower.
