Belinda’s expression warmed somewhat. She said, “That child must be making up for her past. Maybe she never had the chance to visit a theme park before.”

Whenever she thought of the abuse Caroline had suffered at the hands of the girls’ adoptive family, Belinda hated Celine.

The audacity of Celine blaming the Fishers. She had never thought of how her parents mistreated Caroline.
