Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 3305

When Austin returned to his room, one of the bodyguards was showering while the other was watching the television.

He gave them a simple greeting and entered his room right away.

Since he did not have to follow Isabella around after arriving in Clearfield, he had already settled in.

He simply had to wait for his turn to use the bathroom.

It was already midnight.

Austin sent a message to his family group chat: [Are you guys still awake? Come chat with me.]

Soon, Zachary replied: [Let’s chat in private instead of this group. Don’t disturb our parents.]

He also did not want to disturb Serenity.

She was usually asleep by ten at night.

Therefore, Austin messaged Zachary directly.

He sent a voice message because he knew Zachary disliked typing as it was time-consuming.

“You haven’t slept?” Austin asked, concerned.

“Did your business dinner end late again?”

“Aren’t you awake too? Are you on standby to prepare supper for your lady?”

Zachary continued speaking softly, “Wait. I’ll head to the balcony so I don’t wake Serenity.”

He put on a coat and walked out of the room to the balcony.

Hayden had been raised as a son and she even saw herself as one. Her father had introduced her to the business world and taught her everything she needed to know.

On the other hand, Isabella’s parents retired early due to their weak constitution and let Isabella take over.

More importantly, she was a woman. Although gender equality had improved substantially, there were still challenges being a woman in business.

Although Isabella was an elite lady, she took over the helm at a very young age. With many veteran employees and relatives wanting to have a share of the branch companies, her path was considerably tougher than Hayden’s.

That was why Zachary said Isabella had it difficult.

Isabella’s parents only regained their health a few years after Isabella had stabilized the company’s situation. They recuperated for several years and did not need to worry about company matters at all.

In the past, Delphine had to rest for a few days after heading out once, let alone go shopping or play poker.
