Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 3339

How much did Mr. York seriously owe the lady in red? She did not look like she was in a good mood. Did she not get what she was owed? Fox walked into the elevator. Dylan attempted to enter with her but was kicked out.

Theo watched as this happened and Dylan fell backward and onto the floor in an embarrassing but funny manner. Theo secretly snickered for a bit before he hurriedly stopped, afraid that Dylan would see and fire him.

The elevator doors closed. Dylan got up from the ground and muttered as he rubbed his stomach, “That was a really strong kick. It’s pretty painful.”

The elevator had already descended. He would not be able to catch up now even if he tried. All he could do was helplessly return to his office.

Suddenly, he recalled how Grandma May kept saying she hoped he would not regret it. Had she known Fox was not an easy catch, in which he might never succeed in pursuing her, and he might have to spend his whole life single after giving up on Imogen?

However, he would not regret it. He thought of doing as his brothers and cousins did, and just pursued Grandma May’s chosen bride for him, but after spending three months interacting with Imogen, he only managed to make Imogen fall for him and not vice versa.

He could be friends with Imogen, but not husband and wife because he did not feel anything romantic for her. Marriage was for a lifetime. If he was unable to love her, he should not marry her so that he would not make himself unhappy and do Imogen wrong at the same time.

Setting it straight with Imogen and killing any feelings she had for him early on was a good thing for them both. Grandma May had even said she was not going to bother about him any longer and that he could pursue whoever he liked as long as he did not regret it. Real men had no regrets!
