Married At First Sight Chapter 4046
Chapter 4046
“He is definitely a naughty boy. He has strong fetal movements and kicks a lot,” Serenity said. “My baby isn’t that active. I guess he takes after his father, who is pretty reserved. He doesn’t like talking to people he doesn’t know well.”
Jasmine replied, “There’s nothing wrong with a boy like Zachary. Josh, on the other hand, was incredibly naughty when he was a kid. When my mother-in-law told me stories about his embarrassing childhood, I couldn’t believe he had been so mischievous.”
Josh always struck Jasmine as gentle and kind—someone who was easier to talk to than Zachary. After they got married, he treated her with even more care and affection, constantly spoiling her.
He was always there for her, so she never had to worry. He was a dependable partner.
But as a child, Josh had been a troublemaker. He would climb up and down everything and even go up to the roof to pull off tiles if he wasn’t scolded for a few days, giving his parents endless headaches.
“Grandma took my mother-in-law and the others out to have fun,” Serenity said suddenly, looking at her phone.
She had just seen a video posted by her mother-in-law in her social media stories. The video included Grandma York, her second aunt, and her third aunt.
“Grandma didn’t even tell me she was going out,” Serenity muttered. Then, touching her belly, she sighed. “I can only go out after this little one is born. Zachary and I didn’t even get a honeymoon. Once the baby is here, Zachary will have to make it up to me.”
Jasmine and Josh had gone on a honeymoon, but near the end of the trip, Jasmine discovered she was pregnant. Josh had immediately cut their honeymoon short and brought her back home.
Still, they managed to visit a lot of places during their time away.
Elisa smiled and said, “I guess you’ll have to wait until the baby starts kindergarten before you can go on a honeymoon. When they’re this young, you can’t relax. Once they start walking, they’ll cry and cling to you if you try to leave. Unless you can ignore their tears.” Serenity was speechless.
“Ring, ring, ring…”
Serenity’s phone rang. It was Hank calling.
Although she disliked answering Hank’s calls, Serenity picked up anyway.
“What do you need?” she asked, her tone indifferent and cold.
“Serenity, I’m not driving this afternoon. I’ll pick up Sonny from school. Can you let Mr. Lewis know so he doesn’t make a wasted trip? Is Sonny feeling better today?” Hank asked, sounding concerned.
Hank had been worried since learning Sonny had a fever. Even though he knew the York family had a private doctor and Serenity was taking good care of him, he couldn’t help but fret.
His parents had gone to the kindergarten to check on Sonny, but they ended up clashing with Duncan. Duncan had criticized them for buying fried chicken for Sonny, while his parents accused Duncan of using Sonny to impress Liberty rather than genuinely caring for the child.
When his parents returned, they vented to Hank, complaining that Sonny was becoming distant from them. They kept insisting that, as Sonny’s real grandparents, they deserved to be closer to him. They blamed Duncan for creating this distance.
Ultimately, his parents nagged Hank to step up and spend more time with Sonny, fearing that Sonny would only see Duncan as his stepfather and forget about Hank as his biological dad.
After two days of constant nagging, Hank finally agreed to pick Sonny up from school that afternoon.
However, the pick-up card was with Serenity. Hank needed her to hand it over and notify Sonny’s teacher that he, Sonny’s biological father, would be picking him up.
