Seven Days Seven Nights (Nicholas and Nancy) novel Chapter 55

Chapter 55 He Lied to Her

Nicholas just glanced at his phone and then turned off the phone without replying to any

message.

Nancy asked tentatively, “Is there something wrong? I heard your phone keeps ringing.”

“It’s nothing.”

“Oh.”

Since he didn’t say anything. Nancy naturally had nothing to ask.

After Nancy dried her hair, Nicholas turned off the light. They lay down on the bed at the same

time.

The room was very quiet.

For a moment, Nancy can hear their breathing clearly.

Nancy covered herself with a blanket. She closed her eyes and did not speak again.

However, she could feel Nicholas’ phone vibrating, and the screen was always on.

He turned around and looked at his phone.

Then, his aura became dignified.

After a moment, Nancy heard a slight sound.

She opened her eyes slightly and saw that Nicholas had gotten up from the bed and was changing

clothes.

Sure enough, he wanted to meet Madelline.

Now that he has woken up, he has already decided to see Madelline.

Nancy can’t move suddenly, She felt like a sculpture at this moment, lying numbly in the blanket, not daring to move.

As if afraid of being discovered by Nicholas.

Even her eyes are closed cooperatively.

After a few minutes, Nicholas finished changing.

The next moment, Nancy, heard the sound of closing the door.

Nancy knew he was gone.

He went after all.

Nicholas didn’t tell her anything. He took advantage of her while she was sleeping and went there without telling her.

Nicholas must have thought Nancy had fallen asleep and knew nothing.

The funny thing is, she knows it all.

“Nicholas, Nancy covered the blanket and shouted his name in pain.

Suddenly, there was a rumble of thunder outside. It seemed like it was going to rain.

Nancy hugged herself and sat on the bed. The room was dark, and she couldn’t see anything. She can only hear the thunder.

When Nicholas arrived at the hospital, it was already raining.

The ward was empty, and he couldn’t find Madelline.

He asked the doctor and nurse. Finally, he found Madelline was outside.

Through the window, he saw Madelline sitting in the recovery center. It was an open space, and the heavy rain drenched her.

Nicholas immediately held up an umbrella and ran to her.

When he saw Madelline in a wheelchair in the rain, her body was soaked. Her wrists were red and swollen from the rain.

All his anger turned into distress.

Holding the umbrella above her head, Nicholas whispered, “Let’s go back.”

Madelline immediately turned around when she heard Nicholas’ sound. She smiled, satisfied when she saw Nicholas, and said, “Nicholas, you are here. I knew you would come.”

“You still can’t let me go, right?”

Madelline cried with joy.

Nicholas didn’t speak and just pushed her back to the ward silently.

Then he told the nurse, “Please take her to a hot shower and change her clothes.”

Ten minutes later, Madelline came out wearing clean and tidy pajamas.

At this time, the doctor was already waiting in the ward.

While Madelline was about to speak, Nicholas took the lead and said, “Please check her wound. and bandage it well.”

The doctor came over immediately, and then Nicholas stood aside while waiting.

Nicholas saw the cut on Madelline’s wrist was not getting better. In fact, it was getting worse and almost rotting.

After the doctor treated her wound, everyone went out. Madelline sat on the hospital bed. She looked very quiet and well-behaved.

Nicholas stared at her coldly without saying a word.

The atmosphere in the room was very oppressive. Madelline couldn’t bear it anymore, so she broke the ice while saying, “Nicholas, don’t look at me like that. I’m afraid to look in your eyes.”

“You just know it now? Why wouldn’t you be afraid if you don’t cooperate with the doctor and the wound deteriorates? Do you know where your injury is?”

“I know.”

Madelline looked at him with an extremely wronged look, “Anyway, you don’t care, so why should

I care?”

“You should know that I hate people using injuries to threaten me.”

“I know. But can I still see you if I don’t do that?”

Madelline grabbed Nicholas’ hand excitedly, “Nicholas, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have used this method, but I miss you. You know how I’ve been here these days?”

“I can’t sleep every night. I have been thinking about you whether my eyes are opened or closed.”

No matter how cruel a man is, he would not act coldly while facing a woman expressing her longing and love tearfully.

Nicholas was no exception.

After all, he was moved. He couldn’t bear it anymore.

He walked forward, put Madelline’s hand inside the blanket and covered her in the blanket. He said, “Go sleep. I won’t leave for now.”

“Really?” Madelline asked happily. Her face was full of happiness and satisfaction.

“Yes.”

The rain outside is getting heavier.

Listening to the thunder, Nicholas frowned tightly.

When he came out, the weather was still fine. The weather forecast did not say that there would

be rain today.

Unexpectedly, it rained heavily in just a while.

Nancy is most afraid of thunder.
