Seven Days Seven Nights (Nicholas and Nancy) novel Chapter 56

Chapter 56 Can’t Hold It Any Longer

Linda came over in her pajamas. She was shocked when she saw Nancy.

“Nancy, why are you here?”

She saw Nancy, who was soaked all over, with messy hair, looking miserable.

“Come in.”

After bringing Nancy into the house, Linda immediately went to get a bath towel. Then she wiped. Nancy’s wet hair and body.

“You two can talk. I’m leaving!” Luke was quite understanding, so he left after saying this.

Nancy calmed herself after Luke left.

She threw herself into Linda’s arms and burst into tears instantly. “Linda, I feel so uncomfortable.

feel like I can’t hold on any longer.”

“What happened?” Linda quickly realized something was wrong and asked, “Did Nicholas bully you again?”

Nancy leaned in Linda’s arms, feeling too tired to speak.

In the living room, there is also a TV.

Linda turned down the sound, and Nancy kept leaning against her and watching TV quietly.

She didn’t cry anymore, but she didn’t speak either.

She was as silent as a well-behaved doll.

Linda, who was observing him, also felt distressed.

She wants to ask Nicholas directly.

After a long time, Nancy raised her head and looked at Linda with a pale face. She said, “Linda, I feel so cold. I want to shower.”

“Okay, you sit here. I’ll prepare the bath water for you.”

“Yes.

Soon, Linda put the bath water and brought some clothes to Nancy.

When Nancy entered the bathroom, Linda was very worried and said, “Nancy, let me come with.

you!”

Nancy shook her head and replied, “It’s okay, I can do it alone.”

She wanted to be quiet and alone.

In the bathroom, the steam was rising, and Nancy felt as if she had entered a fairyland when she entered. The bathroom was filled with smoke.

The temperature inside is just warm.

Glancing at the bathroom in front of her, Nancy walked right in without even removing her clothes and soaking in.

The water was very warm.

Nancy closed her eyes and immediately soaked herself in the bathtub without hesitation,

The water instantly covered her shoulders, her neck, then her face, and finally her head.

Soon, Nancy was completely submerged in the water.

The buoyancy of the water made her feel like she was floating. Her long black hair spread like vines in the water.

It seems that only at this time she can forget about everything and let herself go.

She doesn’t have to disguise or hide herself. She can show her true self.

When her head surfaced, Nancy took a deep breath and reached out to wipe away the water droplets on her face.

The water is a little salty and astringent.

At this moment, even she couldn’t tell whether she was crying or not.

Outside the door, Linda stood and waited for Nancy quietly.

She won’t come in because she didn’t want to put too much pressure on Nancy.

And yet she won’t leave because she feels that Nancy’s situation is awful. Linda was afraid of what would happen if she left.

Twenty minutes passed. Linda was extremely anxious..

After hesitating for a long time, she knocked on the door and asked, “Nancy, have you finished. showering?”

It took a full minute before Nancy’s voice came from inside, “Well, I’m almost done.”

After another seven or eight minutes, Nancy opened the door in her pajamas.

Linda breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Nancy come out. She was scared to death.

But she saw the rosiness on Nancy’s face. She touched her head and asked worriedly, “Why is your face so red? Do you have a fever?”

“No, maybe it’s because I took a long bath, and it was foggy inside.”

What Nancy said made sense to Linda, so she didn’t think much about it.

In the evening. Linda stayed with Nancy until Nancy fell asleep. Then she turned off the light and left the room.

However, what Linda didn’t know was after she closed the door and left, Nancy opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling blankly.

She felt that she was not good at all. She felt terrible.

But she didn’t know why, she just couldn’t be happy.

She opened her mouth and tried hard to learn the eight-tooth smile she had trained before. Once, twice, eight times, ten times….

She tried many times, but it was useless.

She couldn’t laugh. She felt like she had forgotten how to laugh.

Joy, anger, and sorrow are basic human instincts!.

How could she not learn such a simple thing?

Nancy doesn’t believe she can’t smile. The more she couldn’t do it, the more she wanted to try it.

However, no matter how often she tried, her face froze. She couldn’t smile at all.

Maybe she can’t laugh because her heart is withered.

Just like the roots of a tree are dead, the leaves are destined to wither and turn yellow.

Because of filming all year round, mostly at night, Linda’s work and rest time are irregular. She often stays up late at night, so she has developed the habit of sleeping and waking up late.
