Leo took a look at Sebastian, whose eyes were burning with a fierce determination to win, and the intensity of his possessiveness was overwhelming 

He had intended to persuade Sebastian to give Miss Sales back to Dev, but upon seeing him in such a state, he knew it was not the right moment and kept quiet. 

Sebastian could probably still love Miss Sales, so he was vying with Dev 

The president didn’t show a sign of that, so Leo felt inappropriate to expresss it instead of him. 

He respectfully replied. “Yes” Subsequently, he left and endeavored to block all the news. 

Although all people in the villa were the president’s trusted aides, the lady living in the old manor could still get the news from them with her cunning 

Leo felt that, at the moment, he should do his best to help the president and not try to persuade him to let go of Miss Sales 

Scarlett, not aware of what had happened in the study, sat up immediately with effort upon seeing Richard come in with her bag. 

“Miss Sales, this is yours.” 

Scarlett received the bag from Richard and thanked him profusely. “Much appreciated!” 

Richard smiled kindly, “the Second Young Master found it for you. You should thank him instead of me.” 

Scarlett politely smiled, and said nothing about what he had said. 

“Take a good rest”, said Richard, who knew it was inappropriate for him to stay in the room for long, turned and left. 

After Richard had left, Scarlett opened her bag, took out her phone and took a look at it. 

Susan had been calling her more than ten times by now. 

Scarlett, shocked, immediately called back 

The phone rang only once before Susan answered it. 

“Scarlett, what’s going on? Why is Dev at our doorstep?” 

Susan’s surprised voice sounded from the other side before Scarlett could say anything. 

“Don’t tell me that after five years, he still desires revenge against you.” 

Scarlett was surprised by Dev showing up at her doorstep now. 

“Susan, he isn’t here to take revenge on me.” 

Scarlett told Susan about the company’s request for her to receive Dev. 

Susan, who was hiding at the top of the stairs, frowned, “what a cursed romance.” 

She subconsciously took a look at the man who was waiting at the door. 

“Scarlett, his head is swathed in gauze and he’s wearing a hospital gown. He looks a bit peculiar.” 

Hearing this, Scarlett felt even more guilty. “Susan, he was hurt trying to protect me. Could you tell him to go back to the hospital and that I will go to visit him in a few days?”
