She’s Married, Sir (Scarlett and Sebastian) novel Chapter 180

Chapter 180

Susan sobbed for two hours as if all her tears had emptied before she eventually ceased crying

Scarlett quirked up the corner of her mouth and chuckled The Susan I remember was always so determined. I didn’t think you’d be so tearful”

Susan was not in the mood to joke around. She asked with a sour expression, “Does Dr. Lanny realize you can’t see1”

Scarlett didn’t care and shook her head. “No.”

After that, she added. “I won’t trouble her.”

Upon hearing this. Susan was filled with sadness. Knowing that with only a few days left, Scarlett no longer cared if her eyes could see or not.

She gazed at Scarlett’s listless eyes and held back the feelings that threatened to overwhelm her. In a strained voice, she inquired. “Scarlett, when did your heart begin to falter?”

She had checked and found that it would take a long time for her heart to deteriorate to the late stage, and it was impossible for it to suddenly fail

Having already been ill prior to being injured by the Jackmans, she had already gone through something, thus explaining why she had reached the late stage.

Scarlett thought it was important to tell Susan certain things, lest Susan is unaware of the reason.

She asked Susan quietly with all her might, “Do you recall the two kicks Dev gave me five years ago?”

Susan suddenly realized something. “Did those two kicks make your heart hurt?”

Scarlett nodded. The doctor said back then that my heart was going to give out. He wanted me to take care of it. He thought I might have a few years left. But I guess I didn’t do a good job of looking after it, and that’s why my heart failure got

worse and worse…

“It’s going to be alright.” Scarlett patted the back of Susan’s hand, reassuring her to relax, and said. “It’s going to be alright.”

“I spent some time in the capital and had intended to tell you when I returned. However, when I got back, you were shouting that you wanted to kill Liam, so I didn’t dare to say anything. Afterward. I was afraid that you’d be concerned, so I kept it to myself…

Susan understood that Scarlett’s heart failure was caused by Dev. Now, it was Sebastian who had shortened her life.

In her short life, the two men she had fallen in love with were both hastening her demuse

After the two men had inflicted pain upon her, they vanished without uttering a single word.

Could it be that Scarlett had come into this world to be defiled by them?

Susan was filled with resentment, wishing she could tear apart the two men who were towering above her.

Scarlett wasn’t as mad as Susan. She seemed to have moved on a while ago. “Don’t hold Liam accountable. He didn’t know either. Plus, the medicine I’ve been taking since I was a kid was due to his hard work. If it weren’t for him, I might not be here today.

“Scarlett, you’re so silly… Susan thought she didn’t deserve any of this

Scarlett didn’t mind, lowering her eyelashes without a word, though the image of Sebastian slapping her lingered in her mind.

Liam and she were in love, but fate had other plans and they broke up. She, however, had a one-sided love for Sebastiani, which was foolish.

Susan could not bear to say such harsh words to hurt Scarlett, so she did not mention the past anymore. She only said, “Scarlett, are you still feeling unwell?*

Scarlett shook her head. No matter how was feeling unwell, it was no longer important. She did not need to trouble the doctors

Susan caressed Scarlett’s perspiring face and said with concern. “You’re exhausted after only a short conversation. Let me get you some warm water and wipe your face…“
