Chapter 192
Before Scarlee could smile, his cold voice stopped her.
She withdrew her smile and walked to Sebastian. She looked at him with a little disappointment. “Sebastian, are you unhappy that I am here?”
There was no emotion on Sebastian’s chiseled and attractive face. His piercing eyes gazed at her. “Why are you here?”
Scarlee’s sudden appearance at his private residence in Houston, known to almost no one, could only mean that she was following him.
Scarlee was frightened by his gaze. She took a step back and wrapped the towel around her body tightly. He was unwilling to give up and moved closer.
“Sebastian, Aunt knows your whereabouts very well. She asked me to come because she thought that our relationship should make some progress after I finished school…”
Gathering her courage, she stretched out her fair hand to touch the man’s check, but he dodged her before she could.
He even disdained pushing her hand away, instead, he chose to turn sideways to avoid her.
He still avoided her as he always did.
Scarlee suddenly curved her lips into a smile and smiled sadly. “Sebastian, how long must I wait?!”
Sebastian looked down at her from above, unwilling to say another word to her. He said coldly. “Get out.”
Had it been any other time, Scarlee would have unquestioningly departed and never dared to defy Sebastian.
But now, she was only wrapped in a bath towel.
He showed no interest in her, not even sparing her a glance, and told her to scram. How could she bear this?
Scarlee balled her hands into fists and her nails dug into her palms. She fumed. “You swore to him you’d marry me. Have you forgotten?”
Upon hearing this, Sebastian’s eyes grew more menacing. “If it weren’t for him, I would never marry you. Now, do you understand? Get out!”
Scarlee took a deep breath, recalling how in the past, her mere mention of this had been enough to make Sebastian give in. Even without compromising, his attitude towards her would have been better; however, he now completely disregarded her feelings and was adamant about driving her away.
Being the eldest daughter of the Napier family and a top student, Scarlee was somewhat arrogant. Knowing that Sebastian was chasing her away, she realized it would be her fault if she stayed any longer.
She glared at him angrily, picked up the clothes that were placed outside the bathroom, turned around, and ran downstairs.
Sebastian did not even look back. He quickly walked to the bedside and took out the private phone that was placed in the drawer.
After opening it, he found that it was around two in the afternoon yesterday. Scarlett called a few times.
The last call was picked up. It only lasted for a few seconds before the call ended. After that, she never called again.
Frustrated, he quickly called Scarlett back. He urgently wanted to hear her voice, but she did not pick it up.
He thought that it was the weekend back home. He knew she liked to sleep in and did not call again.
When he put down the phone and wanted to go to another room to sleep, he got a message.
On his private phone, there was only Scarlett as the sole contact on his WhatsApp.
He quickly picked up his phone and opened WhatsApp, but Leo’s anxious voice came from outside the door….
“Mr. Jackman, open the door, it’s about Miss Sales!”
At the same time, he saw the text on WhatsApp: [Mr. Yea, she has passed away. Please don’t harass her again. }
