She’s Married, Sir (Scarlett and Sebastian) novel Chapter 244

Chapter 244

Susan stopped reminiscing about the past and turned to look at Scarlett.

‘Scarlett, don’t fret. I won’t be developing any feelings for Lance. In this day and age, apart from Liam, there aren’t many decent guys around”

“Therefore, I won’t be like before and invest my emotions into someone who treats me kindly. It’s not worth it in the slightest”

When she mentioned Liam again, Scarlett’s eyes darkened again.

In this world, the man who treated her well was no longer here, and there would be no more…

She lowered her eyes to hide the sadness in her eyes and said gratefully to Susan, “Susan, thank you. For me, you have sacrificed so much. I don’t know how to repay you. If you don’t want to be with Lance, I will help you get rid…”

Susan smiled and did not answer Scarlett’s question. She just raised her hand and touched her hair. “You are still alive, and that is the best way to repay me. In the future, stay by my side and do not go anywhere. Do you hear me?”

Susan was a beam of light in Scarlett’s life, and it always warmed her heart.

Even if she were trapped in a swamp and unable to extricate herself, Susan would still summon her unlimited strength in the crucial moment.

Just like now, Susan didn’t hate or blame but instead gave all she had.

With red eyes, Scarlett went forward to hug Susan and made a promise to her. “Susan, I am back now. In the future, I will take care of you.”

Susan smiled gently but did not refuse, “Well, don’t forget your promise. When I’m old and unable to move, you’ll have to take care of me-give me food and water, and help me get around in my wheelchair. You might even have to help me with my bathroom needs.”

Scarlett was amused by her. A light smile spread on both sides of her cheeks. “No matter what, I am willing to do it for you”

Upon seeing her smile, Susan ceased joking and rose to her feet. She unlocked the drawer and retrieved a bag that was sealed shut.

She took out the things in it and told Scarlett, “I was scared of being too sorrowful if I returned to the cramped flat. But before I left, I made sure to bring your important items with me….

She took out the phone that Scarlett used before and handed it to her. “I kept this phone of yours. I also kept your phone number. I thought that as long as they are not destroyed, the traces of you coming to this world would not be erased by time.”

When Susan said this, her expression suddenly became a little complicated.

“That perv, Mr. Yea, likely had the same ideas as me. Before I could top up your phone number, he had already put a lot of money into it. It appears he wants to make sure this number stays alive.”

“Moreover, in the past three years, he sent you thousands of messages. At first, I thought he was very annoying, so I blocked him. Later, he kept changing his number and sending messages, so I let him do as he pleased.”

Susan sighed deeply. “This creep kept sending you messages day after day, relentlessly, making me think he must really have feelings for
