She’s Married, Sir (Scarlett and Sebastian) novel Chapter 33

Chapter 33

She quickly wrote two full pages of paper, expressing all the words she wanted to say.

After she had finished writing, she placed the bank card into the will book, and then inscribed the four words “To Susan, my love” on the envelope.

After pondering for a while, she retrieved a sheet of paper, grabbed the pen and attempted to write something to Sebastian, yet she was uncertain of what to write.

She wrote his name, put down the pen, folded the letter paper, and placed it in the drawer, all in the end.

Once she had gone, Susan would certainly return to collect her possessions. When she did, she would discover what she had left behind

Having completed all her tasks, Scarlett took the medicine to help her body recover from the strain of the night’s mission; otherwise, all her previous efforts would go down the drain.

After taking her medicine, she unlocked the desk drawer and retrieved the small jar containing the sleeping pills she had been saving for the past ten days.

Having prepared the sleeping pills, fake contract, and knife beforehand, she took out her phone and booked a hotel, placing them all in her bag.

After arranging the hotel, she texted James the address.

She didn’t add James on WhatsApp, as she remembered he had sent her a text message before, so she used that to send him the address.

[Mr. Forrest, you are awaited in Room 2088 of the Royal Hotel.]

She assumed James would come right away when he saw the text message, yet she hadn’t anticipated his response to be a question mark.

Scarlett, upon seeing the question mark, frowned slightly. Hadn’t they agreed to present him with the contract tonight?

Just as she was puzzled, the other party sent another message: “Wait for me.”

Scarlett finally overcame her doubts, so she hung up the phone and retrieved the sleeping pills.

She poured the entire contents of the jar into the wine cup, grabbed the short knife, and used the tip to grind the medicine into a fine powder.

This time, she was determined to kill James, no matter the cost.

She did not want to be manipulated by him, nor did she want to involve Susan. She had no other option than to kill him!

She crushed the medicine, picked up the wine bottle, and poured the red wine inside before hiding the short knife under the pillow

Scarlett, having done all this, switched off the lights and settled down on the sofa, waiting in silence.

Approximately twenty minutes later, a knock sounded at the door.

Upon hearing this voice, Scarlett, though she was trying to remain composed, still trembled.

She was nervous and scared, yet now that it had come to this, she had to proceed as planned.

She placed the bottle in her hand on the surface, took a deep breath to compose herself, then walked to the back of the door and opened it slowly

The man who appeared outside the door had his entire face concealed by a golden-bronze mask.

Scarlett, upon first sight of him, felt an unease and wanted to shut the door, yet he barged right in.

The man forced his way in and, with a deft flick of his hand, switched off all the lights in the TOONI.

The room was studdenly plunged into darkness, and only the light outside the window illuminated the figure of the other person standing there.
