She’s Married, Sir (Scarlett and Sebastian) novel Chapter 41

Chapter 41

After emerging from Jackman Group, James held the contract with a beaming smile.

He took the car from the basement with the intention of going directly to the Royal Hotel to locate Scarlett.

Unexpectedly, when the car had reached halfway to its destination, it was suddenly surrounded by dozens of off-road vehicles.

James sensed something was amiss and hastily abandoned the car to flee.

However, after running a few meters, a top-of-the-line luxury car appeared to have lost control and veered straight toward

him.

He was so terrified that he ran in all directions, yet the more he tried to escape, the more the car seemed to be pursuing him, as if it was intent on ending his life.

The car forced him back to the corner, and the main driving door then opened slowly.

The man, donning a bronze mask, stepped out of the car.

James was hit in the eyes by the two dazzling headlights in front of the car.

He could only just discern the figure of the man, and he could only just recognize that it was a teenager in baggy attire.

He thought so due to his youthful-looking hair and clothing.

James glanced at the teenager and surmised that he must be a wealthy playboy.

In A Town, the Forrest family was a big shot..

How could a wealthy playboy actually dare to lead so many cars to surround him?

“Kid, do you know who I am?”

He concluded that the other party was certainly unaware of him, otherwise, they would not have dared to block him! The man slightly tilted his head, his movements playful and teasing.

“I know.”

His voice was hoarse and deliberately disguised.

Feeling that the other party did not even dare to reveal his true face, James was more unafraid.

He got up from the ground and walked in front of the man arrogantly. He pointed at his nose and said angrily, “Brat, you know who I am and still dare to come and stop me. Are you tired of living?”

The man sneered and raised his hand slightly, prompting the bodyguard standing behind him to immediately step forward and grab his finger.

Before James could respond, the bodyguard swiftly drew a knife and severed his finger that was pointing at the man!

He moved so quickly that in a matter of seconds, he had lost a finger.

“Ah–”

James screamed in pain.

His agonizing screams reverberated through the basement.

He had believed they wouldn’t dare to lay a finger on him, yet they had actually severed one!

This young man before him was no hedonistic offspring of wealthy parents, but rather a devil who killed without a second thought!

What he didn’t anticipate, though, was that this was just the start.

“Sir.”

After cutting off his finger, the bodyguard respectfully returned the knife to the man.

The man took the knife and, with a handkerchief, gently wiped away the blood on its back.

He strode toward James with his long legs.

James’ face paled as he watched the tall, straight figure striding towards him.
