Chapter 15 

The man cackled as he tried to pull Millie into his arms. “100 million is nothing to me! All I have to do is ask for it!” 

Millie narrowed her eyes. What an arrogant thing for him to say. 

“Who are you? Why haven’t I seen you before?” Millie asked with a smirk. 

The man lifted his head up high and declared arrogantly, “I’m Scotty Cobb, the CEO of Cobb Group!” 

Millie laughed. 

Scotty Cobb? Wasn’t he the infamous wastrel from the Cobb family? He was just a foolish, good–for–nothing scion! He was most known for having been scammed out of eight million by a man who pretended to be a woman online! 

All in all, Scotty was a brainless man with too much money for his own good! 

“What are you laughing at?” Scotty snapped as he glared at Millie. If you hook up with me, you’ll be getting more than just 100 million. I’ll give you 100 billion!” 

Millie tutted. It was a tempting offer. 

“I’m not interested in you, Mr. Cobb. Kindly let go, and let’s pretend this never happened,” Millie said with a smile in an attempt to convince Scotty. 

She came over today to attend the dinner meeting in Terrence’s place. If she ended uptausing a scene, she would only be 

embarrassing herself in front of Terrence’s friends. She didn’t want to cause any trouble either.

“Are you trying to play hard to get with me?” he asked with a sneer. 

Millie wanted to roll her eyes. She couldn’t believe how self- absorbed he was! Even if she were to play hard to get with someone, it wouldn’t be him! 

She pushed Scotty away and tried to leave, but he was inebriated, and her disinterest aroused his desire. 

Since she refused to sleep with him, he was determined to get her in bed with him tonight! 

He grabbed Millie and tried to force himself onto her. “I don’t want to play these games with you. Didn’t you bump into me on purpose to seduce me? Well, in that case, I’m going to make you feel real good tonight!” 

Scotty shoved Millie against the wall. 

Gritting her teeth, she growled, “Let go of me!” 

“An ordinary woman like you should be counting your blessings that I’m letting you into my bed tonight! Don’t fucking try to act like an innocent woman!” 

Scotty’s hand started roaming up the hem of Millie’s dress. 

Frowning, she quickly pushed his hand away, but as soon as she did that, he started leaning in. 

He was over six feet tall and larger than her, so she was having a hard time fending him off. She had no choice but to stomp on his foot using her heel. 

However, Scotty didn’t seem to feel any pain. He continued to try and force himself on her. 

Millie’s dress was too short, so she dared not do anything too physical, lest she ended up flashing herself.

“Scotty! I’m Millie Caldwell, the oldest daughter of the Caldwell family! Are you sure you dare to assault me?” Millie growled. Her only option now was to state her identity in the hope that it would make him stop what he was doing. 

“I don’t fucking care who you are! You’re mine tonight!” Scotty roared back. He was too consumed by his lust to pay any attention to who she was. All he knew was that she smelled good, and her skin was so soft to the touch. 

The more she tried to resist, the more excited he got! 

Millie frowned. All of a sudden, she thought of something. She was just about to take out her hairpin from her hair when a silhouette came dashing toward them. 

There was a loud thump, and instantly Scotty fell onto the floor with a piercing howl. 

Right after that, someone pulled Millie and shielded her behind him. 

When Millie saw who it was, her eyes quivered, and she felt a jolt. 

“Fucking hell? Who’s the fucking bastard who hit me?” Scotty screamed. 

“Use your fuckings eyes to see who I am!” Winston growled, his icy voice echoing in the hallway, chilling anyone who heard him. 

Scotty swayed on his feet as he rubbed his eyes. The moment he saw the person standing in front of him, his mind cleared. 

“You’re Win…” 

It was Winston Greer, of all people! 

Scotty looked at the woman Winston was protecting, and sure enough, it was Millie! 

Cursing to himself, Scotty knew he’d made a huge blunder.

Winston turned his head around to look at Millie. His voice was cold as he asked, “Are you alright?” 

Millie looked up and nodded, her breathing still a little ragged. 

Winston looked back at Scotty with a murderous gaze. “How dare you touch my woman?” 

Millie, who was adjusting her dress, froze when she heard what Winston said. 

She couldn’t believe she heard such words coming from him now when all along, he would only say that when he was protecting Joanna. 

“I was drunk, Mr. Greer… I didn’t know…” Scotty stammered, shaking his head profusely. 

“You think being drunk is a good enough excuse?” Winston shot back with narrowed eyes as he clenched his right fist and flexed his wrist. He was giving off a suffocating air of hostility. 

Scotty’s lips parted, but he didn’t know how to defend himself. 

After all, Winston was incredibly influential in Yerwick. Anyone who crossed him would end up doomed. 

Without showing any mercy, Winston punched Scotty in the face. Scotty stumbled to the floor, but Winston wasn’t done yet. He crouched down and grabbed Scotty by the collar to start punching him again. He didn’t hold back at all as he landed blow after blow, as though he was venting his fury. 

As it was, Winston was releasing all his pent–up frustration and irateness by beating Scotty up. 

By the time he stood up straight again, his arm was covered in Scotty’s blood, and Scotty had blacked out.
