Winston frowned. Did Millie cry here all night long before? 

The restaurant owner rubbed her chin. After pondering briefly, she exclaimed, “Oh, yes! You’re from the School of Medicine, right?” 

Millie coughed lightly and chuckled. “Ma’am, you must have confused me with someone else. That never happened. It’s my first time here.” 

She would never admit that she was the fool who came to the restaurant alone after Winston had stood 

her up.. 

Back then, Millie had felt utterly devastated because Winston had promised for days to take her out for Cranurian cuisine. She had been looking forward to it. 

However, when the day finally arrived, one call from Joanna had Winston running off to her. 

Millie wished she could erase those memories forever But, ironically, even if she tried to forget, someone would always bring them up. 

Initially, Winston had been puzzled, wondering if that person was Millie. Yet, as soon as she claimed it was her first visit, he immediately understood. The restaurant owner had indeed been talking about her. 

“Are you two married?” the owner asked with a smile. 

Millie and Winston exchanged a glance, but their replies were different. 

Millie answered, “No.” 

“Yes,” said Winston. 

The owner blinked repeatedly, seemingly confused. 

Millie shot Winston a look. They were already divorced so why did he say yes? 

“He’s just joking,” Millie explained, chuckling awkwardly. 

The owner grinned from ear to ear. “Oh, I get it. Young women like you are always so shy.” 

“Can we take a photo?” the owner asked. “It’ll be displayed on our anniversary wall. We make it a point to take pictures every year. 

“Sure!” Millie responded with enthusiasm. She felt honored to participate in the restaurant’s 30th 

anniversary. 

-When the owner looked at Winston, he didn’t seem very eager. But as soon as she raised her phone, he 

rose to his feet and moved to Millie’s side. 

Millie whispered, “You don’t have to take the photo if you don’t like it. I can do it alone.” 

After all, Winston was considered à public figure. 

Despite what Millie said, he remained silent and leaned in to look into the restaurant owner’s camera. 

The private room had a cozy ambiance with warm lighting, making the picture even more delightful. Winston subconsciously leaned closer to Millie, and their shoulders touched.
