“You’re still involved with the Greers. If you have no sense of shame, that’s your business, but I certainly do!” Winston snapped. 

Selma was going to find out about their divorce if the news ever got to her ears, and he wasn’t going to allow that. He needed to keep Millie under control until their divorce was finalized. 

“Mr. Greer, you’re not even ashamed to parade your fiancée in public. So, why should I be ashamed to kiss someone else?” Millie asserted firmly.

“Are you really offering me an out, or are you starting to panic?” Millie taunted him. She examined Winston’s face closely with her doe eyes. 

Winston scowled in annoyance that he was so easily read. He gulped nervously, and his expression turned cold as he sneered, “Millie, we’re getting divorced. Do you still cling to the delusion that I’ll care about you?” 

Millie felt a sudden jolt in her heart. The words he had spoken to her on that day couldn’t help but resurface in her mind. “Millie, you’re delusional if you think I’ll ever love you!” 

His tone mirrored that same harshness today. 

Winston let go of Millie’s hand and said with a neutral expression, Even if you’re not concerned about Grandma discovering this through the media, can’t you at least consider how 

might feel? Huh?” 

Millie bit her lip with her gaze fixed on Winston. She felt a tingling sensation in her nose as tears threatened to fall. After a moment, she responded softly, “You’re right” 

Winston’s anger ignited instantly at her words. 

Millie turned to Simon with an apologetic look and began, “Simon, I’m sorry. 1-” 

“It’s okay,” Simon interrupted her. 

“Mills, did you happen to bump into some friends? It’s quite 

bustling here, isn’t it?” Terrence’s cheerful voice came from behind. them. 

All attention shifted to Terrence, whose smile disappeared instantly when he noticed Winston. 

Terrence hurried over to stand protectively in front of Millie. Locking his eyes onto Winston, he asked, “Mills, is he causing you any trouble?” 

Millie’s expression darkened as she replied, “Dad, he’s not.” 

Winston’s voice remained calm and polite as he said in greeting, ” Dad.” 

Over the years, he often saw Terrence at work. He had grown accustomed to addressing Terrence as “Dad“. 

“Stop calling me that. It’s too much for me!” Terrence exclaimed. ” Mills doesn’t deserve to be your wife, and it just stresses me out when you call me ‘Daq‘!” 

His harsh words left Winston speechless. 

“Mills, let’s go! We shouldn’t stay in such an unpleasant place!” Terrence took Millie’s hand and led her away.
