A guest said, “Maybe all valuable herbs have something in common. You guys said it looks like any herb, but I think it’s not quite. Look at the root. It’s different from the usual. This one is obviously thicker!”
“So, the Snowdrop doesn’t have grass, huh? I thought it was a type of grass…”
The crowd continued discussing the herb–looking item before them.
Pursing her lips, Millie touched her chin with one hand before covering half of her face to suppress her laughter.
That was not Snowdrop! It was merely a modified herb.
Joanna had it colored, thickened the root, and made it look peculiar. She had arrogantly claimed she had gotten the Snowdrop. But it turned out to be a fake.
Selma was someone who always wanted to maintain her dignity. With so many people at her birthday party, where did Joanna find the courage to do that?
Once someone revealed the Snowdrop to be fake, it would not just tarnish the Lowells‘ reputation but also embarrass Selma.
Of course, she would be enraged to receive a fake Snowdrop.
“The Lowells are truly impressive! All of us went crazy trying to get the Snowdrop, but we couldn’t beat) them!”
“Indeed, I was willing to pay one billion dollars for it but still couldn’t get it. They’re well–connected!”
“No wonder they’re one of the Four Great Families. Mrs. Greer Senior is truly fortunate. With this Snowdrop, she’d be as fit as a fiddle!”
“The Lowells really went the extra mile this time. They deserve some recognition from Mrs. Greer Senior!”
A middle–aged man immediately walked up, shamelessly sucking up to Selma, “Mrs. Greer Senior, thanks to you, all of us here get to see the Snowdrop! Without you, we ordinary folks will never have the chance to see it!”
Soon, others nodded along, saying, “Exactly. We’ve been fighting for it for so long, yet we don’t even know what the Snowdrop looks like. Thank you, Mrs. Greer Senior, for giving us the chance to see it!”
“Let’s be honest, with Mrs. Greer Senior’s stature, only she deserves to live a long life. She’s bound to be healthy, wouldn’t all of you agree?”
The guests immediately nodded and applauded, echoing in agreement.
Selma smiled at that, feeling extremely proud. Right then, she could not help but look at Joanna.
Her tone softened as she said, “Ms. Lowell, thank you. Please convey my gratitude to your father. I’m very thankful.”

Joanna flashed a bright smile in return. “Mrs. Greer Senior, as long as you’re happy, everything is worth it. There’s no need to thank us!”
Selma looked at the Snowdrop and touched it, joy evident in her gaze. She had not expected to obtain the Snowdrop and thought her birthday party was worthwhile.
Meanwhile, the live streams across various major platforms went wild.
“Is that the Snowdrop? Isn’t that an ordinary herb?”
