Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce! novel Chapter 1181

He now realized that her act of venting anger on his behalf was not motivated by Dallin's actions of killing his father, betraying his mother, and leaving him without parents, for it was no longer a small grudge that could be resolved with a beating, but a deep-seated hatred that involved life and death.

She wouldn't have helped him vent his anger without knowing that. Therefore, her offer to help him vent was related to something else, something much smaller in comparison to the previous two incidents.

Sydney tucked her hair behind her ear and glanced at Zach. "Do you remember our conversation yesterday morning when I mentioned that we should have a discussion last night?"

Julien nodded. "Yes, I remember."

Sydney sighed. "But we spent last night at the old residence, and..."

At this point, she suddenly realized something and happened to see the gossiping look on Zach's face. Blushing, she quickly glossed over this part by saying, "So we didn't get a chance to talk last night."

"Is the matter you wanted to discuss with me related to what happened to Dallin?" Julien immediately guessed.

Sydney nodded. "Yes, when you came back the night before yesterday, Zach came to Shallow Bay looking for you and you two had a conversation. I don't know what was said, but after Zach left, your mood changed drastically. It was obvious that something had happened. I asked you about it, but you refused to tell me and said you were fine. However, I could tell that you kept it to yourself because you didn't want me to worry. But this only deepened my concerns about you. I couldn't sleep well that night."

"Sorry." With an apologetic look, Julien gently hugged her. "I didn't know."

He really didn't want to worry her because of that incident, so he kept it from her. But he didn't expect that she couldn't sleep well because of it. It was his oversight.

As for Zach in the driver's seat, he finally figured out why Sydney had given Dallin a beating after listening to her words. He lowered his head guiltily and turned around, trying to make himself less noticeable.

Indeed, evasion was futile and the truth would always come to light.

Sydney would eventually tell Julien that he was the one informing her.

Zach had mistakenly believed that Sydney and Julien had a candid conversation the previous night, only to discover that they hadn't spoken at all.

He had assumed that if Sydney were to inform Julien about the situation, as long as he wasn't physically present, Julien wouldn't be able to exact any form of punishment upon him.

However, to his disappointment, Sydney did not speak to Julien in his absence. It was only now, with him present, that she began to mention this matter. Given the circumstances, it seemed highly possible that Sydney would reveal his actions, and Julien would surely teach him a good lesson after finding out the truth.

Zach looked up at the sky helplessly.

Well, he could only see the car roof, not the sky.

Sydney was unaware of Zach's growing uneasiness. She relaxed in Julien's embrace, resting her chin lightly on his shoulder as she smiled at the car window. She reassured him, "You kept it from me because you didn't want me to worry or be burdened by it, and I understand your intentions. It's not your fault that I couldn't sleep well, for it was due to my own concern for you. When you forgot to bring back the USB drive yesterday, I took the chance to ask Zach about what you had discussed last night."

At this point, Julien narrowed his eyes slightly and glanced at the driver's seat. He now knew that Zach was the informant.

Zach had already turned around, so Julien couldn't see him.

But even without eye contact, it still sent a shiver down Zach's spine, causing him to tense up, for he could sense Julien's piercing gaze.
