Sir madame has run away again (Lily and Carson) novel Chapter 235

Chapter 235
“I’m here for a discussion with President Walker,” I replied sheepishly. Deep down, I was secretly relieved that Camille hadn’t witnessed the intimacy between Eric and me just now. She glanced at my laptop on Eric’s desk that was showing the draft. Then she smiled at me. “What a coincidence! I was thinking of meeting you.”
“Since when did you two get so close?” Eric asked intrigued.
“It’s a secret between Lily and me.” Camille winked at Eric as he flashed her a loving smile.
On the one hand, Camille was a young and beautiful movie star. As for Eric, he was a wealthy and successful bachelor; the two were a match made in heaven.
However, I suddenly thought of Isabella’s words in the past tense. According to her, Camille was romantically involved with Eric’s brother. If that’s the case, why would Eric flirt with Camille?
When I was guessing, I saw Camille coquettishly complain to him: “I’m hungry. You haven’t had lunch yet, have you? Why don’t we have lunch together?”
“Clear.” Eric jumped at her suggestion.
“Should we go out to dinner or the company cafeteria?” asked Camilla.
“Let’s go to the cafeteria. I have work later.”
“All good. The cafeteria dishes are also very good. Lily, let’s go!”
So I was taken to the Walker Group cafeteria, arm in arm with Camille as Eric followed. The same scene from their last visit unfolded again. When I stepped into the area with Eric and Camille, we caused a commotion. Employees eating dinner in the cafeteria kept looking at the three of us.
As Camille was a public figure, she was used to the attention. Although Eric was not a public figure, he was very familiar with crowds. I was the only one who was uncomfortable with the attention.
We entered a dining room specially reserved for Eric. After the waiter handed us the menu, Camille smiled at me. “Lily, take a look. Is there anything you like?”
I had tried the dishes here before, so I could easily choose two of my favorite dishes. So I handed Camille the menu. She ordered a few dishes for herself and Eric before placing the menu on the table without bothering to check with him. Judging by her demeanor, she was very clear about Eric’s preferences.
Soon the food was served and Camille excitedly invited me for a cat. So, I started digging without caring.
“Lily, you love spicy food, but you don’t have acne. Your skin is so soft. I’m jealous of you.” Camille looked at me with eyes full of wonder.
“How is my skin? Your skin is the best; you have a natural rosy blush under your smooth, fair skin. It looks radiant!” I randomly gathered my compliments. Eric glanced at me and I quickly shut my mouth in embarrassment.
Camille didn’t notice the look he gave me. Perhaps she was used to being praised for her looks, as she didn’t feel flustered. On the contrary, she greatly appreciated the compliment. “Many have told me I have good skin and asked me for my skin care tips. To be honest, I don’t have any tips! It’s all genetics!”
Eric coughed in embarrassment. “Let’s eat. The food won’t be as good if it’s cold.”
Camille agreed and willingly put some food on Eric’s plate, which he naturally picked up and spooned onto his plate.
mouth.
Then I noticed a shocking scene – Camille carefully picked the bones out of a piece of fish and placed it on Eric’s plate. Also, she helped peel the prawns for him. They both acted like it was the most natural thing to do. If I was told they were just friends I would scoff in disbelief.

However, I was a little intrigued by the fact that it was Camille who looked after Eric from beginning to end. She put food on his plate, filled his bowl with soup, and even meticulously handed him napkins.
On the other hand, Eric didn’t reciprocate anything. This sight reminded me of the first time I visited his house and he served me fruit juice. Back then, I misunderstood that he had something against me, but he couldn’t be further from the truth. Now that I thought about it again, being served by a man used to being pampered was indeed a great honor for me.
Feeling the cold sweat running down my back, I lost my appetite and put my fork down. Seeing this, Camille smiled at me. “Lily! No wonder you have such a beautiful body. Turns out you’re on a diet!”
I wanted to deny the diet claims, but on second thought I decided it was unnecessary, so I returned her a smile.
“I met your husband before and he is very handsome. You two make a good couple.”
I didn’t know when Camille first met Carson in real life, so she surprised me by changing the subject to him.
