“How is he handsome? He’s pretty average.” I replied embarrassed.
“You are very humble! To be honest, it’s hard to find a man as handsome and talented as your husband. From what I’ve heard, he cares a lot about his family and treats you like a queen. I’m so jealous of you!”
At her comment, I instinctively glanced at Eric and noticed that he was also looking at me. I clearly saw a mocking look in his eyes, which infuriated me, but I tried to hide my anger.
Camille didn’t notice my displeasure as she rambled on, gushing over Carson, to which Eric gently reminded her with a grimace, “Don’t talk when you’re eating. The food will get cold if you keep talking.”
He successfully shut her up, much to my relief.
After lunch, the three of us went back to the President’s office. To our surprise, Camille offered to make tea for everyone. Of course, I couldn’t leave her alone, so I followed her into the pantry, where she immediately started making tea with deft movements. She asked me, “Lily, you didn’t forget about the premiere, did you?”
“No, I don’t,” I replied casually.
“I assume you told young master Dylan about this? I spoke with the Marketing and Communications Department. On that day, he must appear at the event. This is a favor I ask of you.”
I never planned on talking to Dylan about the premiere. At the time, I had only half-heartedly agreed with Camille, but I accepted. don’t expect her to take it seriously. Feeling the cold sweat trickling down my back again, I decided to call Dylan and pray he wouldn’t decline the invitation.
After returning to the office with tea, Camille just sat there for a while before leaving. Then Eric and I drove to the hotel. Georgie was driving while Eric and I sat next to each other in the backseat of the car.
The car sped down the road as we stared out the windows in silence. Half an hour later, the car stopped in front of a tall building. Georgie got out and opened the car door for Eric. So I followed behind Eric to get out of the car.
When we both left, Eric led me to the front of the building. Georgie instantly followed, but was stopped. “You will wait here. She and I are going to take a look upstairs and come back soon.”
“Young master, be careful.” As she chatted, Georgie pulled two bottles of water out of the car and handed them to me. I put the bottles in my bag and followed Eric into the building.
The building had probably been completed not too long ago, because the hallways were littered with construction rubbish. to work. Eric led me straight to the elevator.
I thought it odd because I expected a group of employees to greet Eric, their president, upon arrival. Why are there just
