Sir madame has run away again (Lily and Carson) novel Chapter 487

Chapter 487
‘I’m a man of my word.’ Pulling me into his arms again, he added, ‘I know I’m temperamental, but I’m not as scary as you think, and I never thought of making you my slave. In fact, if you want, I’d rather be a slave for you.’
It was impossible for me to remain indifferent when a powerful man, who always kept his word, said something like that because of me.
But can a man’s promise be truly trusted? Lifting my head to look at him, I said, ‘If you mean what you say, then show me your sincerity.’
‘What do you want?’
‘I would like to go home.’
After a brief moment of contemplation, he replied, ‘Okay. I’ll be back with you right away.
“I don’t need you to come with me. I want to go back alone.’
‘Clear!’
‘So let’s get our passports done now!’
Then, he said something that left me completely speechless. ‘There’s no need for that because we haven’t lost our passports. It was just a lie I told so we could spend more time together.
After such an episode, both of us were no longer in the mood to have fun. So we hung around the lake a little longer before it took us back.
‘Why did you come back so early?’ Sharon asked, surprised by our early return.
Looking displeased. Eric snorted before heading upstairs, while I simply gave her a smile and followed.
When we were upstairs, he opened the room next to mine and pulled me in, saying, ‘This is my room. Come and check it out.’
His room was just as cold as he was, as the main color scheme was black, white and gray. Although it wasn’t as luxurious as I’d imagined, it still boasted the prestige of its owner.
Casually, Eric sat down on the couch and placed a call while I looked around curiously.
On the wall were some European-style landscape paintings, and I noticed a corner shelf with a sketch displayed on it, which was a drawing of a woman with shoulder-length hair, bright eyes, and white teeth. Even though it was a processed drawing, it could still be seen that the girl in the drawing bore a striking resemblance to Beverly…
It must be Beverly herself, I thought. It seemed that their relationship wasn’t as simple as mere friends.
After a quick look at the sketch, I turned around and saw that the place by the window had a tatami mat laid out on the floor, decorated with a few pillows and a coffee table with a few books. It looked like Eric would lie there and read leisurely while he drank some tea whenever he was
free.
This was kind of similar to the layout of my bedroom, as the spot by my bedroom window was also decorated like that. Since I wanted to enjoy the sun but was often too lazy to leave the house, I asked someone to design a corner like this one.
Walking over to the mat, I looked out the window and saw that it overlooked the garden; the view was quite beautiful. Curious to know what kind of books he used to read, I picked up a book at random and flipped through it.
Unexpectedly, a photo fell and I picked it up with the intention of putting it back. That’s when I accidentally looked at it and was immediately
stunned by what I saw.
It was a photo of Eric with Beverly. Of course, it was nothing out of the ordinary for them to have a picture together since they were friends, but what freaked me out was that it was a picture of them kissing.
