Chapter 462 A Showdown Between Two Women 

Alex had been refining pills for two days straight.

Making pills consumed a lot of mental strength. Furthermore, he had to teach Auriel while creating the pills. His body and mind were both exhausted. 

However, as a Master in martial arts, all he had to do was to règulate his internal energy and his fatigue would dissipate. 

He had managed to refine quite a few pills in the past two days. The Pill of Cultivation made him feel the most accomplished. 

Although he only managed to make 2 batches, it would still significantly improve his skills and mastery. 

Alex then picked up the phone and called Maggie, Stefan, Tyrael, and the others. He then told them that the pills that they wanted were ready, and instructed them to go to Happy Living tomorrow afternoon to collect them. 

After receiving Alex’s call, most of them felt beyond excited. The pill was a miraculous medicine that could be considered equivalent to an extra life. They were overwhelmed with joy. 

The next day, Alex set up a banquet at Happy Living. 

Everyone had reached the place early to personally meet the renowned Alex. 

It was the weekend and Alex did not have to send his son to school, so he slept in for a few more hours. 

Because he had been training rigorously, it had been a while since he managed to get a good night’s sleep. 

At a little past eleven, he got up to make food for Stanley. Seeing that Carmen was home too, he let Stanley and Carmen go outside to play. 

The incident of Alex causing Susan’s death might have cast a shadow over Carmen’s heart, because for the past few days, Carmen’s attitude towards Alex had changed tremendously. She seemed to treat Stanley better too, and occasionally brought him out to play. 

After that, he made his way to Happy Living. 

Alex had just stopped his car when he saw Maggie, Stefan, Autumn, Tyrael, Auriel, and the others waiting to welcome him at the entrance. 

Such a big occasion naturally drew the curiosity of other customers. 

However, after taking one look at Alex’s car, they understood. 

Seeing Alex walk over, everybody bowed politely and greeted him, “Welcome, Mr. Jefferson!” 

Alex took a glance at the crowd and laughed. “You guys came so early. When did you all arrive?” 

Stefan chuckled. “It’s rare for Mr. Jefferson to organize a gathering, so of course we have to arrive early! It’s a form of respect to you, too.” 

Maggie smiled and said, “That’s right. Moreover, you refined pills for all of us! Of course we have to come early.”

Alex could not help but take a second look. Maggie really looked especially pretty today. 

At that moment, Autumn walked over to Alex with a cherry–red face and curtsied, which made her seem like a young and humble country beauty.
