They were no longer related in any way, and to make matters worse, her family had been so merciless. As stated in the divorce contract, not only did Alex have to leave without a single penny, but he also had to fork out ten billion. 

Therefore, Heather was simply too ashamed to ask for Alex’s help now that crisis befell the Jenningses once again. 

Alex turned and stared at Heather, his gaze so cold as if he was looking at a stranger he had never met before. He said calmly. “Ms. Jennings, there’s no longer anything between us. I have no reason to help the Jenningses, so I wish you good luck!” 

After Elsa called him and told him about that incident, he messaged Flynn and asked about what exactly happened to the Jenningses. 

He thought that they were not only immensely greedy but also so unbelievably foolish that he almost felt sorry for them. Since they were adults, they should take responsibility for their idiotic actions.

Having experienced Alex’s popularity firsthand, she could no longer wait to marry him. I have so many beautiful and outstanding women as my love rivals, so I absolutely can’t afford to wait any longer! We have to get married as soon as possible!
