Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 474

Nell’s cheeks blushed bright red. She gathered the loose hair strands on the side of her head and tucked them behind her ears with a shy smile.

“Umm… Although I think it’s a bit unrealistic to be together in every lifetime, based on your sincerity, I will promise you.”

Gideon’s lips quirked up, and the smile on his face gradually spread across his cheeks.

“Oh? Thank you, Mrs. Leith, for your kind cooperation.”

He held her hand and pulled her into an embrace. His chin rested lightly on top of her head and then he lowered his face to kiss her on the forehead.

“I love you, Nelly.”

Nelly stretched out her hands to wrap around his slender waist. The surrounding tourists were emitting celebratory squeals, but her heart remained calm and peaceful due to the warmth of his embrace.

After setting off the river lanterns, they walked around again. It was already 12:00 am when they were ready to return.

Since it was late and Lizzy was still a child, she was prone to getting tired. An hour ago, Old Madam had sent them a message saying that she could not find them and they would head back first.

Nell had received the message, so she knew that they were headed home. Therefore, she decided to take a stroll with Gideon.

After all, this was the place he grew up in and she was curious to explore more.

The two of them held hands and walked for some time until they reached a drop-off area.

Gideon asked her to wait there, for he would get the car.

Nell agreed. The parking lot was not too far from the riverside, just about a few hundred meters away. Standing there, she could see the gravel road they had just walked through, all the way to the riverside.

There were still many people at the riverside. 12:00 am was considered early for them as it was just the beginning of nightlife, so the crowd did not disperse. Instead, it almost seemed like it was increasing.

With that, Nell cradled her arms and waited.

Behind her, there was a sudden movement.

At first, she thought that it was Gideon arriving in the car. She just turned around when a strong force attacked her.

Her heart skipped a beat. Immediately, she tried to evade, but it was too late.

The stranger’s actions were incredibly fast. Before she could move, he had covered her mouth and dragged her behind a nearby tree.

Nell struggled with all her might, using every self-defense technique at her disposal.

However, it was useless.

The stranger’s reflexes and techniques were almost inhumanly fast.

Moreover, because of the baby in her belly, her movements were restricted. She could not exert all her strength. Thus, with just a few moves, she found herself at a disadvantage.

Nell’s mouth was covered by someone, who then dragged her into a dim alley.

“Don’t move! I won’t hurt you, I just need your help.”

The newcomer’s voice was very hoarse. He sounded like he was on the brink of exhaustion and was quite weak.

Nell heightened her senses. With a whiff of her nose, she could smell the stench of blood.

She tried to glance behind her. “Are you injured?”

The person did not speak but Nell did not need his confirmation as the stench of blood grew thicker and thicker in the air.

For some unknown reason, Nell felt relaxed.

Softly, she said, “Let me go, I’ll take a look.”

The newcomer still did not speak, but the mouth that was covering her hand loosened a little, allowing her to speak clearly and to take a deep breath.

“You are very skillful, I’m definitely not a threat to you, so you can relax. I just want to look at your injury. I believe that you dragged me here for this very reason.”

The hand that was clamped over her wrist paused before it released her.

“Sorry for the trouble.”

His voice was very low. It was hard to imagine that under such circumstances, a kidnapper would apologize to his hostage.

This also reassured Nell’s thoughts.

This was not an ordinary person.
