Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 915

While walking down, Vickie stretched her arms and legs as she said, “Pretty good. Nothing out of the ordinary.”

“I heard from Gregory that the doctors said your body still has some lingering side effects from the sedatives and will need a few days to fully leave your body.”

“Is that so?” She thought about it and smiled. “Maybe, but I still don't feel any different. Just that my head feels heavy and muffled. I also feel sleepy all the time.”

“That sounds about right.” Nell paused before suddenly asking, “By the way, I never got to ask but during the time you were kidnapped, did they bully you? Were you stuck in the same place?”

Gregory had relayed information to Gideon and Nell via phone call before they saved her.

He told them to assemble the doctors for the moment they came home. Since they were well aware of what was happening, it was an added measure of security in case they did something to Vickie and Gregory failed to notice.

Thus, Nell knew about the creepy place they saved her from.

Vickie responded, “They didn’t bully me… But I can't really remember… I think… They probably didn’t?”

Nell was rather taken aback at Vickie’s frustrated expression.

“You don't remember? How come?”

Vickie shook her head. “I don't know either…”

As she spoke, she felt a deep-seated discomfort in her body and shook her head again.

“To be honest, since I got back, my mind has felt hazy and foggy. It’s like I’m constantly confused and spaced out.”

Nell frowned worriedly.

“Is it uncomfortable? Other than the haziness, are there other symptoms?”

“Other symptoms… Not really.”

As she said that, her feet froze and Nell stopped as well. She saw Vickie’s face turn completely pale. She then clutched her head painfully and fell to the floor, kneeling.

Nell panicked and the leashes slipped out of her hand, allowing the dogs to run amok as they chased each other.

She opted to leave the dogs be and knelt to support Vickie. “Vickie? Vickie, what’s wrong? Are you okay?”

Vickie did not speak but just tightly clenched her teeth while she clutched her head with both hands. Her face was getting paler.

Nell panicked even more.

“Vickie, don't scare me, please. What’s wrong?”

Nell hastily fished out her phone to call Gregory, but before she could dial his number, Vickie stopped her.

Her weak voice whispered, “Don't tell him. I’m fine.”

Nell paused and raised a skeptical eyebrow at her.

After a long while, Vickie slowly recovered. A thin layer of cold sweat appeared on her forehead. Her body looked as weak as a person who had almost drowned.

She glanced at Nell and reassured her. “I’m fine now. Don't worry.”

Nell just frowned at her and helped her stand up.
