Chapter 631 Getting a Divorce

Noticing her hesitance, August curled his lips and said, "I'm glad you came."

He looked away and faltered after a moment of silence, "Paul and you...."

As soon as the words were out of his mouth, her face changed. She took a deep breath and said, "I'm going to divorce him"

The room fell silent. A flicker of astonishment flashed across his eyes. He asked, "Not on the spur of the moment?"

From their poor condition and the children's words last night, he could tell that something had happened between Lucia and Paul.

"No." On her sides, het fists clenched. "He.. betrayed me, Bishop was able to find me in the Evergreen Meditation Yard because he stalked me and revealed my whereabouts. The abbot"

She felt a lump in her throat August's brows furrowed in an instant, and his face clouded over. On the armrests, his fists slowly clenched. So, it was him. In fact, August had figured

out that Paul was not a simple character. That man was not as considerate and kind as he demonstrated in front of Lucia. August just hadn't expected that Paul was part of the

incident and that he worked with Bishop.

Soon, he came to his senses and said coldly, "It looks like he was targeting me. He wanted to find and get rid of me through Bishop. I'm an obstacle in his way."

Lucia's heart sank to the bottom. That was what it was. She was furious when she found out the truth yesterday. She hadn't thought about Paul's motives. Now she realized

everything

Turned out he was targeting August. Her heart was broken. She bit her lips and shivered. Never in her wildest dreams had she thought that Paul had such a dark side. She stood there

and fell into a long silence. August's voice rang out, bringing her back to reality.

"What about Timothy and Janet if you get a divorce?"

She looked up and met his dark eyes. Stunned for a moment, she realized what he meant. She guiltily looked away and replied, "They'll leave with me."

August didn't know the origins of her kids. It was normal that he took them for Paul and her children. Sitting at the table, the man captured a hint of panic in her eyes. His mind was

in turmoil. Soon, he came to his senses and looked at her.

"Then what? Do you have any plans?"

Lucia replied hesitantly, "I haven't gotten any idea yet."

Bill and Elisa were on a trip abroad. She didn't know how to tell them about this thing. It was a bit tricky. She thought to herself till something occurred to her.

She looked up at him and said, "Could you... do me a favor?"

August slightly cocked his brows. "What kind of favor?"

"I'm going to handle the divorce procedures, but no one is here to look after my children. I wonder if Za...."

Before she could finish her words, he agreed, "I'll help take care of them."

Her mouth was agape. She had planned to ask for Zane's help, but August volunteered to help.

"Do what you have to do and leave the rest to me," he said blandly.

His natural tone brought her a feeling of déjà vu. She was somewhat ill at ease. She intended to express her concern, but words would not come out. Since she was asking for his help,

she shouldn't be so picky

She thought for a moment, swallowed back her words, and nodded. "Thank you."

Despite her uneasy feeling, she looked at August once again and went outside. Back in her room, she saw the two kids still watching TV. Her lips parted, but she didn't know how to bring it up.

"Sweethearts, I have to go and fetch something I can't be with you for the next few hours but have found someone to take care of you guys."

Janet looked her way and asked curiously, "Is it Uncle Charming?"

Lucia paused, forced a smile, and nodded. "Yes."

Jatiet cheeted up. “Hooray!"

To her surprise, Janet was so fond of August. She turned to look at Timothy who was silently hanging his head and fiddling with the remote control

She went over and asked, "Timothy, are you fine with it?"

To August, Timothy seemed to be not as enthusiastic as Janet. The boy looked up at her and nodded. "Yeah."

Although he said so, his eyes betrayed his disappointment. Lucia had no idea what was bothering him but knew not how to ask. She thought about it and said nothing in the end.

Timothy suddenly reached out his hand and tugged at her clothes.
