His interest piqued, Jamie went over and snapped his fingers. "Please give this lady a glass of Kekfrankos." "Sorry, I never drink that kind of low grade stuff." The woman disdainfully curled her flaming lips and suddenly grabbed his tie.

He was drawn closer to her. Her pull abruptly stopped when they felt each other's breaths. Her eyes glittered with ant

appealing light, and she blew on his face. "I'm not a whore. Now get out of my face."

She untangled her finger from his tie and pushed him on the shoulder. Jamie was in a daze the entire time. He was

frustrated, but his annoyance was greater. He had never been rejected by any woman before. She was the first one. "No? Who will be dressed like this and flirt around?" He suddenly grabbed her wrist, yanked her into his arms, and

gritted his teeth, "Don't you want to make money? I am rich."

The woman was stunned before showing a shy and annoyed look. She tried to break free, but her strength was not as

great as his. Just then, the cocktail Jamie ordered for her was mixed and placed on the counter. The liquid in the

sparkling glass was dark pink. Combined, it looked like a budding peony. However, the crimson liquid at the bottom

looked sticky and filthy.

With a smirk on his face, Jamie stared at the cocktail and said in a deep voice, "Doesn't this glass of wine looks like you?

You're luscious outside and foul inside."

"How dare you!" Her eyes blazing with anger, she grabbed the glass with her free hand and poured the wine into his

face.

Jamie was caught off guard and loosened his grip. Taking her chance, she broke free, backed up, and regained her

arrogant look. "The wine is on me."

She glared at him and prepared to leave when something occurred to her. She added, "I paid for their drinks. Do you

think every woman will be attracted to you?"

What? She paid for their drinks? Jamie wiped the sticky liquor off his face and looked incredulously at the woman.

Satisfied with his stunned look, she snorted and held her head high.

"As I said, I'm not that kind of woman as you think. Both consumers here, we should not interfere with each other." Lucia took pains to push her way through the wiggling crowd. Out of breath, she hurriedly said, "Sorry Miss, I apologize

on behalf of him. In a bad mood, he didn't really mean to offend you."

The woman came over, glanced at her, and exclaimed, "Mrs. Adams?"

The three people were all stunned. Jamie came to his senses first and asked the waiter for a VIP room. In the box, Lucia

quietly looked at Jamie who was sitting on the left, and then at the woman who was sitting on the right. She groaned in

her heart. The stand-off was not the solution. She braced herself and broke the awkward silence.

"Miss, do you know me?"

Facing her, the woman restrained her manners and nodded. "Yeah, you're famous in the business world of Austos City.

Everyone knows you."

Lucia's heart lurched. She wondered if this woman could keep the secret. If August learned that she came to the bar with

Jamie, he would be mad for sure.

"You may have misunderstood. We're here to talk about business. You know, the most dangerous place is the safest

place," she explained.

The woman snorted and darted a cold look at Jamie. "I don't doubt your words, but no one will believe this jackass is here

for business."

Jamie listened quietly but stamped with fury when he heard that. "Mind your speech. I'm a gentleman."

"I don't think so. No gentleman would randomly molest ladies," the woman countered.

"You're dressed like this. Everyone couldn't help going over and accosting you. Wear a down coat next time and see who

Lucia hurriedly mediated for fear of another fight. In the end, she handed the draft contract they had just finalized to the

woman who then exclaimed in surprise, "So, you're really here to talk about business."

Her brows furrowed with disdain when she saw the name of the company on the document. "Jevas Group? What a

bummer! Unlucky for me."

Her grumble didn't escape Jamie's ears. He immediately got up, went over, and sullenly questioned her, "What do you

mean by that?"

"Nothing, I just don't like it." The woman raised her voice, "You're as terrible as your boss."

Lucia's eyes wandered between them. The situation was confusing. Wasn't Jamie the president of Jevas Group? This

woman seemed to be dissatisfied with Jamie who she didn't know.
