In the laboratory, Blaze narrowed her eyes as she gazed at Bailey, whose face had undergone a transformation, and she fell into deep thought. This person's aura was quite unique, giving her a sense of familiarity.
Bailey chuckled softly and jokingly said, “What? You don't recognize me just because I've changed my appearance?” Blaze's eyes widened, and her face was full of disbelief.
“Are... Are you Bailey? You're not dead? No way. My investigation showed that you were killed by Mr. Philip and his son.”
Upon saying that, she suddenly stopped talking. She reached out to pinch Bailey's cheek and realized something.
“Did you use a disguise skill to find a substitute to die in your place? You cunning woman. No wonder Cameron was defeated by you back then. You're truly crafty. Aren't you afraid I'll expose the fact that you are still alive?”
Bailey shook his head and smiled. She leaned close to her ear and whispered, “I can help you win Cameron's heart, but first, you have to do a few things for me.”
Blaze was about to say “no need.”
However, the heart was much more honest than the mouth. Those two words lingered between her lips for quite a while, but in the end, she swallowed them back. She liked Cameron. She had liked him for countless years. However, that guy didn't like her, and instead, he spent every day studying Bailey's portrait. She knew he admired Bailey.
Blaze responded, “Help me win Cameron's heart? Bailey, can you stop being a hypocrite? I don't believe that you don't know Cameron likes you. You know very well that he has feelings for you, yet you push him toward me. Should I call you a two-faced saint? Or should I say you are heartless?”
Bailey couldn't help but chuckle and calmly said, “My heart is already occupied by another man. I'm afraid there's no room for him. If I were to monopolize him like that, wouldn't it be like having my feet in two boats? That would make me worse than being a two-faced saint or heartless woman.”
Blaze gradually suppressed the anger on her face.
She tilted her head to look at Bailey and coldly snorted, “Artemis is already dead. You can move on and find someone else to love. I think Cameron is quite outstanding and more than a match for you. If only I were a bit smarter, I wouldn't have been deceived by you. Instead, I would have killed you directly.”
After saying that, she raised her hand, and a stream of black mist surged straight toward Bailey. Bailey didn't move, allowing the poisonous scent to enter her nostrils.
“Aren't you afraid of death?” Blaze furrowed her brow and asked. Bailey shook her head and smiled bitterly, saying, “Since Artemis is gone, I no longer care about life and death. The only reason I have been struggling to survive is simply to avenge him. Once my wish is fulfilled, I'll go with him. Little girl, if you really like Cameron, I can help you. He's one of the few friends I have, and I hope he can find his true love.”
Blaze chuckled softly and took out a bottle from her pocket, tossing it to Bailey.
“Here's the antidote. Hurry up and take it. I find you quite interesting, so I'll trust you this time. I won't utter a single word about what I saw today to anyone. Just tell me what you want me to do for you. As long as it's within my capabilities, I won't decline.” Bailey reached out and patted her shoulder, trying to comfort her.
“Cameron's feelings for me are just admiration, not romantic affection. You still have a great chance, so don't give up easily. I have already prepared the antidote for Bloodlust. I'd like to ask you to personally go to the Hoffman residence and feed it to my disciple. I don't want to entrust this task to anyone else. If they ask who made the antidote, just say it was you. If possible, I hope you can find a way to get my disciple out of there.”
Blaze slightly narrowed her eyes. After a moment of silence, she suddenly realized something.
“I get it now. You're using me as a pawn. Mr. Philip and his people believe you're dead. If you send the antidote, it would be like confessing your involvement. What a cunning fellow you are, Bailey. You're truly filled with devious schemes. Not to mention one of me, even ten wouldn't be a match for you. Aren't you afraid I'll inform Mr. Philip that you're still alive?” Bailey shook his head with a smile.
“Since I dare to tell you, I'm not afraid of you betraying me. It's because Cameron trusts you that I called you for help. If you truly like Cameron and want a happy ending with him, you won't set me up. After all, if you do so, it means pushing Cameron away completely.”
Blaze snorted twice.
