Chapter 136
Quinn Bar had a total of three floors. The first floor was the lobby, the second floor was a bar, and the VIP rooms were on the third floor.
Several stall members stood as sentinels, stationed near the staircase between the first and second floors. The guests could only enter the bars after having their identification cards checked.
Upon reaching the second floor, Larissa instinctively covered her ears, taken aback by the deafening electronic dance music that engulfed
the space.
The bar was dimly It. The multicolored lights overhead cast a purple-reddish hue on the patrons mingling below, masking everyone’s faces with the same color.
A group of stylish youngsters was dancing on the dance floor, swaying their bodies to the music freely. The booths nearby were filled with groups of people drinking.
Lana mentioned that she was trapped in the women’s restroom on the second floor.
Larissa stopped a passing waiter to ask for directions. Although she shouted at the top of her voice and gestured with her hands, it took several tries before the water understood.
“The women’s restroom? Go to the end and turn lell,” the walter replied in a loud voice as well,
Navigating through the dense crowd proved to be a challenge for the trio. As they pushed their way forward, they encountered several girls coming from the opposite direction. They seemed to be leaving the women’s restroom in haste, with annoyed and fearful expressions.
Larissa couldn’t help but quicken her pace.
A group of young men with colorful dyed hair and tattoos on their arms were hanging around the entrance of the women’s restroom. Each of them held a lit cigarette in their hands.
Smoke filled the air, and the irritating smell made Larissa’s nose itch. She turned around and gave a loud sneeze.
Behind that group of young men, a bald man was forcefully pounding on the door of the women’s restroom with his strong lists, sneering.” Hey, gorgeous! Just give up and stop resisting. Come out and have some fun with us!”
With a frown. Kevan held Larissa’s hand and brought her to the corridor next to the restroom, which led to the staff office in the back. Dylan folowed after them.
There were not many people passing by because it was far from the dance floor, so it was relatively quiet. At least they could hear each
other talk at a normal volume.
Kevan reached out to Dylan and said. “Give me the car keys.”
Dylan took out the keys from his pocket and threw them at him. “What for?”
Kevan placed the car keys in Larissa’s palm. “You go and wall in the car. Lock all the doors and then call the police. Leave this to Dylan and me.” Looking into her eyes, he spoke slowly and clearly, word by word.
Larissa hesitated. “Can the two of you handle it?”
Neither of them was as well-built as that bald man pounding on the door. Moreover, he was accompanied by a group of young men.
In the first place, this matter had nothing to do with them. Out of loyally, they came along for moral support. She couldn’t just abandon them and let them lace the danger alone.
Dylan casually placed his arm on Larissa’s shoulder, but when his eyes mel Kevan’s cold gaze, he withdrew his arm sheepishly.
“Ms. Seymour, you see, the worst thing you could do to a man is to doubt his capabilities,” he said with a meaningful glance.
Realizing that she might have offended them, Larissa’s face turned red all of a sudden. “No, I didn’t mean that
However, she was interrupted by the sudden ringing of her phone.
It was Lana who called, and she was crying harder than before. “Larissa, have you arrived? I’m so scared! Those men keep banging on the door. I feel like they’ll break it down soon

Larissa’s chest tightened with worry. Unconsciously, she tumed and glanced brielly In the direction of the restroom.
“Don’t be afraid.” she reassured Lana softly, “I’m here already. I call the police right now, so you need to hold on a little longer.”
“Call the police?” Lana screamed in shock, “No, don’t call the police! If the police arrive, they will take me to the police station! Dad and Mom will definitely kill me! Larissa, come and save me now! Don’t call the police! Make sure no one knows about this!”
Larissa was still thinking of how to convince Lana when the phone was suddenly snat ched out of her hands. She turned around and saw Kevan holding up the phone against his ear with a dark expression on his face.
“How do you expect your sister to save you? Do you want her to rush in alone? Ms. Seymour, are you being malicious or just foolishly nave?”
The atmosphere around him seemed to freeze over as his
as his narrowed eyes were filled with mockery.
The temperature around him dropped to freezing point, and his half-closed eyes were like an icy pond, filled with nothing but mockery.
Lana’s crying came to an abrupt hall. “Who are you? Are you Mr. Rogers?”
“You don’t need to worry about who I am” Kevan said, “Gather anything that can be moved in the restroom and stack them behind the door. Use a mop or any sturdy object to brace the door it possible. Then, hide in one of the stalls, lock the door, and wait patiently for the police to come and rescue y
