After Larissa had arranged for Gary to be admitted to the hospital and ensured that he had completed all the necessary examinations, she left the hospital.
Shortly after her departure, Alex went to meet Gary.
Since he just suffered from a seizure, Gary wasn't feeling too well.
In addition, he had to go to different departments in different buildings of the hospital for his examinations.
After getting poked and prodded at, Gary collapsed on the hospital bed out of exhaustion.
However, when he heard the sound of the door opening, Gary opened his eyes groggily.
Initially, Gary thought that Alex was a doctor coming to check up on him as he was wearing a white coat, so Gary forced himself to sit up.
He did not expect to be greeted with an ingratiating smile on Alex's face as he approached the bed.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Logan!"
Gary was momentarily taken aback by Alex's effusive greeting, but the expression on his face remained nonchalant as he was used to people trying to curry favor with him.
With a faint smile, Gary replied, "Nice to meet you too."
Alex stretched out his hand for a handshake and introduced himself. "I'm the head of this department, Alexander Wade."
Gary shook his hand gently and asked, "Dr. Wade, is there something you need from me?"
There was much that Alex wanted to say, but when he remembered that someone else was waiting behind him, he had to put his personal issues aside first.
Turning back, Alex muttered, "It's not me, but a friend of mine who is here to see you."
Gary furrowed his brows. It was one thing for hospital staff to flatter him and try to get into his good books. However, it was another matter entirely to leak information about his stay in the hospital and allow outsiders into his ward freely.
Feeling annoyed, Gary was about to drive all of them out when he noticed the man standing behind Alex.
In that instant, Gary was at a loss for words.
After Soaring Corporation extended its willingness to partner up with Blue Star Shipping, Gary thoroughly investigated the company.
Although Kevan didn't seek out the limelight like his cousins, he wasn't completely out of the picture either.
