Chapter 763
Aster began ragging her again. “We told you to wear a down jacket, right? But you didn’t listen! With how thin your outfit is, what are you acing to do if you catch a cold!”
Bloody hel, this tone, and attitude–the kid had copied Wendy perfectly.
Larissa ignored him and quickly walked to the car, Kevan had unlocked the car earlier, so she entered the car. The thermostat was off in the car, but it was still warmer than outside.
Kevan led Aster into the car. He was doing everything at a super casual pace. He also opened the car window on his side just a little bit, and the winter wind blew in through this crack. It al smacked onto Larissa’s face.
Larissa sneezed several times loudly.
Kevan glanced at her through the rearview mirror, but he still said nothing
“Can you close the window?” Larissa rubbed her itchy nose as she tried to discuss with Kevan. She lost all her patience because of the cold winds, and her voice was unfriendly.
Kevan denied her righteously. “There’s no air circulation if the window is closed. It’s not good for your health.”
Larissa grilted her teeth angrily. She could only curl herself up and move to the other side.
The soft blanket was just above the seat. She could see it if she looked up to the side. Al she needed to do was to move her hand to bring it down. But if she took it, it meant that she admitted that she was cold. In other words, she would be throwing eggs into her own lace.
After a series of mental struggling. Larissa chose her dignity–even if it meant that she needed to trade her health for it.
She managed to bear it all until it was time to get down, Larissa was angry, so she did not even say goodbye. She wrapped herself firmly in her windbreaker and rushed into Blue Star Tower as last as she could.
When she was surrounded by warm air, she finally felt like she was
was alive again. Her frozen arms and legs had feeling again too.
Having changed the way she dressed, the other colleagues in the presidential uffice looked at Larissa differently compared to yesterday.
The male employees did not even hide their amazement anymore. The female employees were jealous and scornful
Gary and Lewis arrived last in this whole department.
When he passed by Larissa, Gary paused as he locked at the windbreaker on the back of her chair. He frowned a little. But he did not say anything and just walked into his office like nothing happened.
Two minutes later. Larissa’s phone vibrated as a message came in.
Dad: Why didn’t you wear a down jacket? It’s so cold today.
Well, he was last in demanding an explanation.
Larissa fudged it over by saying that she was not cold before turning off her phone and chucking it into her drawer.
