After checking the final file on her computer, Larissa was certain that her slideshow was missing.
Furious. She threw the mouse away and rushed to Judy. She couldn’t care less about the pain in her ankle.
Judy motioned for Larissa to give her a moment because she was on the phone.
With a grim expression, Larissa waited about five minutes until the call ended.
“What’s the matter?” Judy looked at her innocently.
“Did you delete the slideshow from my computer?” Larissa cut to the chase.
Judy wore a confused look. “I don’t know. I did transfer my files from the USB driver to the desktop. I deleted everything alter printing the documents, I might’ve deleted it by accident. I’m sorry, Larissa.”
She placed her palms together and tilted her head, trying to act cute. “Is it important? I can redo one for you.”
But there was no hint of apology in her words.
Larissa would be an idiot if she couldn’t tell that Judy deleted the slideshow on purpose.
“Sure.” Larissa forced a smile. “Redo one for me.”
Judy was stunned momentarily as she didn’t expect Larissa to accept the offer.
Her brows knitted immediately. “I can help you out with it but I’m kinda busy at the moment. I have to deal with an issue with the client
right now.
“When do you need the slideshow? Can I do it tomorrow?”
“I need it tomorrow morning. I have to get it done today.” Larissa wasn’t backing down.
She continued, “If you’re busy, you can do it and send it to me through email alter work. I’ll forward the required documents to you later.”
Judy’s expression was becoming gloomer.
“I mean — You know that the having dinner with Nina and the others.” She attempted to make an excuse.
“You can do it at home after dinner.” Larissa was infuriated because the effort she put in for hours went down the drain.
She couldn’t bother to keep the courtesy anymore. “No need for the rush. You can send it to me before work tomorrow.”
Judy’s expression showed hatred, revealing her true colors.
Still she maintained her composure.
Instead of confronting Larissa, she made puppy dog eyes and whined, “Larissa, I know that you’re angry at me. But it was an accident —* Tears trickled down her cheeks. I make it up for you. I finish the slideshow no matter how long it takes. Could you forgive me?” Larissa had encountered various kinds of characters alter spending long years in the workplace.
