Larissa’s body jalted. She backed away automatically. Out just as she had taken a step, her back was pressed up against the wet door. and her shirt was immediately drenched. The cotton fabric stuck to her skin, and it became transparent. 

Kevan walked closer to her. His lace became clearer in the steam. 

Larissa was like a mouse that was caught by a cal. She trembled in the comer. “Dont–don’t come here,” she warned him inellectively. My ankle is fine, I don’t need your help.” 

Kevan watched her. Then, he held out his hand to her. “Come.” His voice was very light, but there was a threatening tone to it. 

Larissa’s hand was already on the door handle. Her brain was calculating the chances of successfully escaping. 

Kevan took one step forward and had her in his arms in a bridal carry before she could open the door, 

Larissa screamed so loudly that one’s ears could have exploded. 

Kevan looked at her and reminded her, “Be quiet, don’t scare Aster.” 

Larissa immediately covered her mouth. “Put me down!” she hissed into his ear. 

Kevan ignored her. He sat on a stool close to the bath lub, putting Larissa in his lap, then carefully removing the slippers and socks that she was wearing. 

She wore short socks that covered only her toes and heels. Her ankles, which were exposed for the whole day, had already been frozen purple. It was a huge difference from her fair legs. 

Kevan pressed his lips together. Larissa could see his ur happiness through her eyelashes. She knew that she was in the wrong, so she did not move anymore. She was scared that she would make him angry and make something bad happen. 

“I’ll wear snow boots to work tomorrow. The longest type of snow boots she automatically proposed. 

Kevan still said nothing as he lifted her trouser legs. 

Larissa’s calves were frozen still because she had worn heels for the whole day, not to mention having walked back home from the train station. Kevan pressed on her flesh, and her calves did not change at all. 

Before he could speak, Larissa repeated, “I swear I’ll wear snow boots tomorrow! I’m nothing!” 

Kevan still ignored her. He massaged her calves until her muscles relaxed, only then did he put her on the floor. 

“Have a 30–minute bath, then come out.” He stood up and brushed the wrinkles out of his trousers and left the bathroom before Larissa could react. She only reacted to the sound of the door closing. 

She stood in the empty bathroom, surrounded by steam. She felt a strange sense of loss. 

Kevan was timing Larissa. The moment 30 minutes was up, he knocked on the bathroom door. “Time to come out.” 

Larissa jolted awake when she heard him calling out to her. The hot bath was too nice. She did not even know when she started leeling sleepy.
