Chapter 807
“It’s a little sore, but I’ll be fine in a while. It’s too much to go to the infirmary for this.” Marilyn waved her hands and looked at her watch.
She added, “It’s lime for lunch. I need to deliver lunch to Mr. Logan Senior and Junior, Would you wait here for me? I’ll come and find you afterward.”
Larissa pulled out a chair and motioned for her to sit down.
“You will probably scare them if you deliver lunch looking like this,” she teased Marlyn.
Manlyn’s face flushed with embarrassment. She covered her cheek with her hand.
“What should I do? I can’t just ask them to get their meals themselves, right? You might end up as the only employee of the presidential office, apart from Mr. Logan.” She peeked at Larissa through her fingers.
*Ill go deliver their lunch. You stay here and wait. Il be back soon.” Larissa patted her shoulder.
The hotel only delivered lunch at the entrance of the presidential office. Larissa had to pick it up, which meant walking across the entire
office area.
The office area was in chaos. The employees gathered in groups and whispered in low voices, with anxious looks on their faces.
When Larissa walked past they all fell silent and glared at her, as if they wanted to devour her whole.
Larissa ignored their looks and collected the lunch.
On her way back, she heard Nina speak sarcastically to someone. “Some people are only fit for menial tasks!”
Larissa drew to a halt and smiled widely at Nina. “Too bad that some people spend all day doing demanding tasks. However, their
superiors didn’t even bother to keep them from resigning. They might even lose everything they have in the end!”
Nina almost choked with anger.
With her head high, Larissa stalked past them triumphantly. No one dared to taunt her.
Larissa brought the lunch boxes to Lewis‘ office, but no one was inside.
Lewis just left the conference room. He had nothing else on his schedule, so he shouldn’t have left the company.
She headed to the presidential office instead.
