Kevan comforted Larissa in amusement before asking, “What happened to her and Edmurd?” 

“She broke up with him, and she plans to abort the baby soon.” As Larissa spoke, her voice grew quieter. “I feel a little bad.” 

It was probably because of her nightmare yesterday, but Larissa suddenly felt that she was too cruel to lorce Wendy to abort her child. 

“I keep thinking what it Edmund was not as trashy as we thought, what if he really loved Wendy 

Then everything they did would have been to break up a potential marriage as well as the murder of an innocent life. 

Kevan firmly interrupted Larissa. “There is no such possibility. Everything you’re doing is for Wendy’s own good.” 

“But Larissa still teat bad. 

“This matter has already ended. Stop thinking about it” Kevan advised her. “Accompany Wendy. Go window shopping, watch a movie, buy whatever you want. Use my card.” 

He had left a card with Larissa. It had unlimited credit and had no PIN either. Larissa had kept it in her purse and never used t 

“I have money.” She was used to being independent from a young age, and so Larissa was not used to spending other people’s money. Afraid that Kevan would overthink, she quickly added. “When I’ve finished using my money. I’ll use your card.” 

Kevan knew her better than she knew herself though. 

“Sure.” 

He smiled faintly and changed the subject. “Is work going well?” 

“Not really.” Larissa frowned. “My cousin’s been guiding me and he’s been talking about the various operations of various company projects. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t a part of this industry previously, so I sometimes don’t really understand. 

“Besides our company doesn’t look great either 

There was a female colleague who had a conflict with me previously, and she got manipulated a bit by Marilyn–my dad’s secretary, and my only friend in the company–and got fired. 

“The moment that colleague left she took every single person in the presidential office with her. Those guys took away a few major clients 100. Although my dad told my cousin that this was not a huge loss. I did go through the monthly financial report from the Finance 

Department for last month 

“Anyway, it’s pretty bad.” 

Gary and Lewis kept telling her not to worry. Using their words, they kept saying that this was a “small issue” that they could fix pretty easily, and that they would not let this “small issue” be a problem she had to lace on her path to inheriting the company. 

But Larissa never really believed their words. She was new to this industry, and there was a lot that she did not know. But she had seen plenty of reports and knew how to analyze the data. Their profit level had dropped a lot due to the loss of clients. Even if they wanted to cover it up, they could not do it at all. 

“Do you have any other options other than believing in your dad and your cousin? Kevan asked her. 

Larissa looked down even more, and her voice was even duller than before. “No.” 

“Then it’s not a problem?” Kevan did not think this matter was an issue. “This isn’t something you should be worried about. You just need 

to do what you’re meant to do.”
