During lunch, Marilyn called her and asked, “Larissa, what are you doing right now?” 

Larissa swallowed her food and replied. “I’m having lunch. What about you?” 

“I’m having lunch too.” Marilyn sounded sad. “I miss you so much, Larissa, I’m so lonely without you at the company. No one’s eating with me or chatting with me during lunch anymore, and there’s no one to slack off with me at work by surfing the forums. Ahh 

Larissa felt a little regretful too as there were fewer chances to meet up with Marilyn. But she did not want to dampen the mood, so she gave Marilyn a pep talk. “You can eat with other people.”

Lewis came home earlier today. 

Larissa and Wendy were sitting on the couch playing on their phones. 

When they heard the sound of the door opening, they jumped up from the couch with wide eyes as they stared at the door fearfully. 

Lewis came back with a huge shopping bag in his hands. It was bulging with groceries. When he saw them in the living room, Lewis found it hilarious, but his expression remained unchanged. 

“Larissa,” he called out in a deep voice. 

“Yes, sir!” Larissa immediately responded. Her voice was rather stiff. 

Lewis put the shopping bag on the floor and changed his shoes. “Bring this into the kitchen,” he instructed. 

“Yes, siri” Larissa hurriedly ran over to bring the shopping bag into the kitchen. 

Lewis finished changing his shoes, but Wendy was still standing there. 

Her head was down, and her long hair hid her face so that no one could tell what expression she had on. 

Her arms were hanging by her side, and her hands were clenched into fists. 

One could tell that she was very nervous right now.
