Chapter 967
If Marlyn hadn’t brought it up, Larissa would not have planned on introducing them to each other. They wouldn’t have anything to do with each other in the future, anyway.
*This is Aler. He was my superior from when I worked in Winston. And this is Marilyn, my colleague and good friend.”
To be polite, Allen extended his hand toward Marilyn. “Nice to meet you, Marilyn.”
“Hello Allen,” Marilyn leaned forward, placing a hand over her chest for modesty, and shook his hand. “Comection, I’m not her colleague. I’m her ex–colleague.”
“What?” Allen was surprised. He looked at Larissa. “Are you switching jobs again?
“Not yet.” Larissa was trying her hardest to plaster a smile on her face. “I’m currently unemployed.”
“What does that mean?” Allen’s eyes were full of bewilderment.
Before leaving Winston, Larissa had told him that she was going to work in her family’s company.
Thus, she couldn’t say that she was fired.
Otherwise, he would instantly call out her bluff, Marilyn might even know of her true identity.

“Yeah. The boss didn’t want her to go, but she did. We’re all going to miss her.”
Allen did not doubt them. He knew of Larissa’s capabilities far more than anyone else.
He would never dream that she was fired.

“I want to take a break” Larissa said, rejecting him softly.
“Alright” Allen did not push it. “Once you’re done taking a break, we will welcome you back any time.”
Because his clients were still waiting, he did not stay for long.
Once he left, the oppressing feeling on Larissa vanished instantly. She sighed.
“Alleh is really good to you,” Marilyn teased. “He has already given you the offer. Aren’t you going to consider it?”
“I don’t want to look back, Since I’ve left Winster, I won’t be heading back there again.” Larissa did not want to keep taking about this. She got the waiter to take their order.
“Oh, and by the way, this is for you.” When the waller ett Larissa dug out a little red box and gave it to Marilyn.
“What is this?” Marilyn looked at it curiously.
“You’ll know when you open it. Larissa was excited
Marilyn opened it.
“On! How prelly!” she exclaimed, her hands around her lips.
There was a golden bracelet in the box. It was priceless.
Larissa had spent a week agonizing over the perfect gl.
