Talented Heiress A Rose with Thorns (Yvette and Wilson) novel Chapter 839

Three days later, Martha returned to Quinn Manor to rest after being discharged from the hospital. Naturally, Victoria followed her.

The staff at Quinn Manor had clearly begun to treat Victoria as the future lady of the household, showing her the utmost respect and obedience. This only made her feel even more pleased with herself.

"Thanks to you, Ms. Olson, I was able to return to Quinn Manor," Jimmy said.

Victoria glanced at him arrogantly. "Mr. Lacroix, how are the things I asked you to do coming along?"

"Ms. Olson, I would never slack off in carrying out your orders!" Jimmy quickly replied. "I've had people quietly keep an eye on the company for several days. Mr. Quinn hasn't met with Yvette even once, and today, the eldest son of the Murray family stormed into the company in a rage.

"I heard that Mr. Murray and Mr. Quinn had a big argument—things got physical. I think it's because Mr. Quinn called off the engagement with Ms. Murray, which upset Mr. Murray, and that's why this situation unfolded today!"

A smug smile tugged at the corner of Victoria's lips, and her guard lowered as she became increasingly pleased.

"The Murray family is really unreasonable. Ms. Murray already agreed to break off the engagement, yet they're still causing trouble for Mr. Quinn!"

Victoria's smile grew wider, hearing the contempt in Jimmy's voice. Even so, she remembered to pretend to be innocent and understanding.

"This isn't Yvette's fault. If only Mrs. Quinn Senior had agreed to the marriage, Yvette and Wilson wouldn't have had to break off the engagement!"

Jimmy quickly said, "Ms. Olson, please don't say that. In my opinion, you're the only one worthy of Mr. Quinn. Mrs. Quinn Senior's refusal to approve of the marriage with the Murray family was absolutely the right thing to do!"

Victoria's mood improved even further at his words, and a look of determination flickered in her eyes.

Only she was truly worthy of Wilson!
