Flirting With My Ex-husband novel Chapter 190

Scarlett was moved by the lovey-dovey couple. She drank two glasses of red wine.

The three of them talked until eleven o'clock. Seeing Scarlett yawning, Alexis stopped talking to ask, "Do you want to sleep over here tonight?"

"No. I will be sleepless at your home."

"Fine. We'll walk you downstairs."

"No, you don't have to. You'd better wash up and go to bed now. Tomorrow is your last day of vacation. Have fun."

Alexis signed. She had to start shooting a TV drama the day after tomorrow.

Scarlett glanced at Justin. "Let's go."

Justin and Alexis walked her to the elevator. It was deep at night, and there was no sign of anybody.

Scarlett drank tonight, so she couldn't drive anymore.

She took out her phone to call an Uber, but no one took her order.

After all, it was a small city, and it was Hometown Day. Therefore, no Uber drivers were willing to make money tonight.

Scarlett put away her phone and intended to walk to the nearby square to see if she could hail a taxi.

The city was in a festive mood, but the streets were empty.

Scarlett stopped walking. "Come out."

Hearing Scarlett's voice, Raymond subconsciously hid behind a billboard next to him.

Scarlett looked back. "You have followed me all day. Aren't you tired, Raymond?"

She said softly with her eyebrows slightly raised. She did not sound angry.

Four or five men came out of the van, all holding a baseball bat in their hands. Obviously, they were bad guys.

Raymond looked back at Scarlett. "Don't be afraid."

As he said, he groped for her hand and slipped the car key into her palm. "My car is parked in the parking lot across the street. I'll stop them. You run over and drive away."

Scarlett looked down at the car key in her palm and frowned slightly. "What about you?"

Raymond froze for a moment. When he came to his senses, he looked at her and replied, "Don't worry about me."

Scarlett smiled and didn't say anything more.

Those black-clad men walked over. "Pin the man down! Catch the woman!"

At the same time, Raymond tugged Scarlett's wrist and threw her off with great force. "Run!"
