After practicing yoga, Scarlett took a nap. When she woke up, it was 6 p.m. The sky was dark. She found it was raining again.
Alexis sent her a picture on WhatsApp, saying that her weight didn't change after eating roast meat and that Rylie was making a fuss!
Scarlett laughed, replying, "Remember to remove the time stamp on the screenshot next time."
Alexis was trying to fool them with an old picture.
How stupid!
There were not many ingredients in the refrigerator. Scarlett ordered seafood on her phone.
When Frank called her, Scarlett thought her food had arrived. She picked up her phone and found the number was familiar.
It was Frank's.
Scarlett raised her eyebrows and answered after a long while. "Mr. Lewis?"
"Ms. Reed, I'm sorry to disturb you, but I can't reach M r. Shaw. He has a fever. I'm worried about him, so I could only call you. Is he staying with you?"
Scarlett frowned. "Wait a moment."
Scarlett took an umbrella and went downstairs. Just a s she walked out, she saw the black car outside the fence.
Raymond was still there.
"Mr. Lewis."
"Yes, Ms. Reed."
"He's here."
"Ms. Reed, Mr. Shaw is running a high fever. Can you take him to the hospital if it's convenient?"
Probably because he felt that it was rude of him to make such a request, Frank was quickly regretful. " Sorry for disturbing you, Ms. Reed. I'll ask Mr. Smith to pick up Mr. Shaw."
Scarlett was holding an umbrella. It was a rainy night. The sky was gloomy. She couldn't see Raymond inside the car clearly.
Yet she didn't bother to intervene. Now that Frank was sensible, she naturally wouldn't get herself in trouble. "Okay, I'm hanging up."
After that, Scarlett walked over with her umbrella. " Raymond?"
He seemed to be asleep. Scarlett knocked on the door. Raymond didn't move.
So it was not a dream.
Raymond rubbed his temples. "Why are you here?"
"Frank called me and said he couldn't find you. He's worried about you."
Scarlett added, "Since you're awake, sit for a while. Alexander will come over later and pick you up."
The high fever made Raymond very uncomfortable. H e didn't know how long he had slept here.
Hearing what Scarlett said, Raymond looked down at his cell phone. Alexander sent a message to him.
He tapped on it and took a glance. Alexander asked him if he needed him to pick him up. If Raymond didn't reply, he would come over.
Raymond had just woken up. His mind was still in a fog, but Alexander's message and Scarlett's words inspired him.
Putting away his phone, he asked in a husky voice, "I have a sore throat. Can I go to your place for a glass of water?"
Scarlett looked briefly at him before nodding. "Come out."
