The Almighty Dragon General novel Chapter 7116

Jamesʼ main self of Path transformed into a ball of purplish-gold sword light.

He sliced through the space underneath the Nothingness Formation and entered the Gate of Delmuna.

There were sounds of fire crackling as the Nothingness Formation went up in flames.

At some point, the formation exploded. Millions of shattered glass from the empty bottles that once held the Chaos Absinthe were sent flying away.

A few minutes later, as if nothing had happened, it was peaceful again inside the vast Gate of Mystery.

With Xanthakosʼ help, James and the others arrived somewhere near the Qadeer Temple in the Forty-Ninth Heaven.

“How long has it been since I last felt natural light on my skin?” Harper mused as she gazed at the Qadeer Temple, which floated in mid-air.

Xanthakos beamed at her. “Harper and Yianni, you are both living beings who have succeeded in becoming skilled, exceptional cultivators.

“I hope you wonʼt blame me for what I did in the past. To be honest, it was too rash of you guys to try and revolt against Zymurgyʼs laws while attempting to help the living beings. It wouldnʼt work.

“If I hadnʼt stopped you guys before the Alcide beings did, you two probably wouldnʼt still be here today. Instead, you would have perished permanently back then.”

Harper scoffed. “Should I give you a peck on the cheeks to thank you for not killing me at the time, then?”

Xanthakos chuckled and turned his eyes to James.

“James, Iʼll introduce you to the other divine beings on our team. Iʼm sure youʼll win them over instantly with your charisma.”

James shook his head adamantly. “I need to see my wife first.”

Xanthakos furrowed his brows. “Uh… She happened to have left for the Wyrmscale Source not too long ago.

“If you send her a voice transmission now, sheʼll be able to get back here very soon.”

“Oh, I know!” Harper looked at James and blurted, “This old man is worried youʼll betray him! Heʼs afraid youʼll choose to work with Lord Goyo to bring him down instead.”

Then, she and James turned their gazes and peered at Xanthakos through narrowed eyes.

Xanthakos gave an awkward laugh. “Ha! Iʼm not that narrow-minded! Itʼs just…”

“I wonʼt go.” James said flatly, “You should send someone to fetch my wife, then.”

When he finished, James walked over silently to a huge boulder and sat on it with his legs crossed.

Xanthakos opened his mouth but could not pick the right words to say.

Harper nudged his arm with her elbow. “Believe me, heʼs way more sensitive than you. You need to think of a way to put him in a better mood. Otherwise, itʼs your loss if he decides not to help you instead.”

Inwardly, Xanthakos was extremely annoyed. Still, he managed to hide those emotions and keep a helpless look on his face.
