Chapter 118: THE CROWN PRINCE

Cane knew it was the voice of the crown prince, because they had a dispute before when he tried to get handsy with Leane. He would never forget that disgusting voice.

It was not a surprise to see him in this kind of place, since it suited his taste perfectly while the old man beside him was his advisor. Corry Maleen. He had been his advisor for as long as Cane could remember.

"Can you read their conversation?" He asked again after Iris came to stand beside him.

Iris looked at the cubicle that Cane pointed out, she squinted her eyes and looked at them carefully, thankfully, their faces were facing her, thus it was not difficult for her to read their lips.

"...this is too much. You have to stop bidding. We will not have enough money to buy it." Iris repeated what the old man was speaking, as she watched him scold the man beside him.

"That’s just a rumor! No one knows if the item is really on the black market!" Alan, the crown prince of the Ogregon kingdom, glared at his advisor. He had been wanting to get rid of this old thing, but his father wouldn’t agree.

"We shouldn’t be here, we should go to the black market straightaway! The king will not be pleased to know this." Corry knew the crown prince’s temper, he wouldn’t be able to resist shiny things, especially at a chance to piling up his wealth with them.

"You can go back to the capital by yourself, so shut the fuck up, or I will sell you too."

That was a demeaning statement and very impudent of him, but Corry couldn’t voice his anger, because at the end of the day, he was the crown prince. And even though there was no way he would be able to sell him, this man could find a thousand ways to make his life miserable when he became the king one day if he got on his bad side.

"What if you don’t have enough money to buy that item?"

"I am the crown prince, I can pawn my golden stamp."

"You can’t do that!" Corry was having a headache.

"Why not? I have done it before." Alan was very careless and didn’t care much about the politics and what was important. For him, the king’s words were gold and everyone needed to follow regardless.

The crown prince was thirty this year, but his mindset stayed the same as when he was only a seventeen years old brat. It was still questionable why the king chose him as his successor.

"You forgot what happened after you sold the golden stamp in the past?!"

Alan smirked and brushed him off nonchalantly, as he raised his token again. "Fifty thousand gold!"

And that was the final price for the diamond white tiger. He was sold to the crown prince at that exorbitant amount.

"That’s what they said," Iris said, as she watched the two of them step back from the railing and couldn’t be seen again.

"That caused such a ruckus because a few important documents were forged," Redmond said simply, but the aftermath of that crown prince’s stupidity was dire. He was actually confined for half a year in his palace. "It happened five years ago and dealing with the aftermath had actually taken almost two years. The kingdom lost a few assets, especially some important documents and trade pacts. In the end, the person who forged the documents had never been found and the kingdom released a new stamp." freёweɓnovel.com
