Lou was lost for words for a moment when Cane dared enough to ask for the Asturi stem after he literally robbed him off the magic stones, but then he was having an outburst.
"You just stole my water magic stones and you want the Asturi stem as well?! Don’t you think that you are so greedy?!" He shot a dagger look at the bundle in Iris arms, while trying to keep Lil Thing from going forward, approaching her.
"Deal is a deal," Cane said coldly, he looked at Lou squarely. He definitely knew what he was doing, but the alpha simply couldn’t care less about that. "Where is the Asturi stem?"
"You must be sick in the head if you think I will give you the Asturi stem! Give me my stones first!" Lou was furious, his beautiful face contorted with unhappiness at this turn of events.
Cane simply gave him a look and then walked out of the waiting room, indicating that Lou could bark all he wanted, but he wouldn’t cater to his demand.
However, before he walked out of the door, he turned around and beckoned Iris to come to him, which made the bear knock Lou aside and frantically follow her.
Actually, Cane’s main goal was getting the water magic stones. He had never wanted to get the Asturi stem in the first place, but because this foolish bear followed Iris around, it didn’t hurt to get the exact same thing that the crown prince wanted. Both of them made way for the white bear, as it followed Iris looking all docile.
"Stop right there!" Lou was furious. He chased after his bear, stomping his feet. "How dare you take my pet away!"
"Actually, your pet is the one that is following them, you should train that thing not to follow strangers," Redmond cackled behind him, as Will shot him a glance. He didn’t want to make a ruckus and this man’s intention was clear, he simply wanted to provoke Lou.
Ignoring what Redmond said, the guild master glared at the alpha and then huffed. "Fine! Here! Take it!" He fished something out of his pocket and tossed it to Cane. "Give at least five water magic stones, so Lil Thing can stay behind, after that, all of you can get lost!"
At this moment, Cane was helping Iris to sit on the horse, while Will and Redmond mounted their horses as well.
Iris, who kept staring back and forth between Cane and Lou until them, fixed her eyes on the alpha, who was about to mount the horse as well.
Only after Cane nodded did Iris slip her hand inside the bundle, but it was not five as what Lou demanded, but only one, as she hurled it as far as she could.
Lil Thing saw it and immediately rushed toward the stone, knocking the old man aside, as he tumbled against Lou.
Unexpectedly, Iris had good arm strength, as she tossed the stone quite far away. It provided enough time for them to leave, while leaving the bear behind. The corners of Lou’s lips twitched, watching what transpired. This young woman was a little bit mischievous and petty...
