Both Ethan and Will were covered in injuries as blood oozed out from their wounds. The grass beneath them was stained in the dark color of their blood. They were panting erratically after engaging in an intense fight for two hours.
The weather was warm tonight and the blood felt sticky on their skin.
"What do you mean?" Will immediately sat down and glared at Ethan for his comment. "Who harassed her?!" His body was trembling, anger coursed through his veins with the offhand comment from the Gamma.
Meanwhile, Ethan was still lying on the grass, as he made an ’oopsie’ face when he saw how mad Will was. He pretended he said something he shouldn’t have.
"Ugh. Hanna told me not to say anything about it..." he mumbled, which only irritated Will.
"Say it! Say what happened!" Will growled dangerously. He had no patience for Ethan’s antics and immediately sat on top of his body, as he pulled his collar and screamed into his face. "What happened to her!?" Killing intent radiated from his body and Ethan had never seen Will lose it like this.
He was a sweet boy from their pack and was quiet most of the time, he endured their slavery days without saying much, whenever he was angry or sad, he would keep it to himself, but right now, he looked like a feral beast.
"SAY IT!" Will punched Ethan so hard, the Gamma felt like his head would be detached from his neck. "WHAT HAPPENED TO HER!?"
"Okay! Okay!" Ethan screamed, he put both of his arms in front of his face to prevent himself from suffering another blow. Heavens! He was scared of this man’s temper!
Actually, it was his fault to provoke Will when he was in his darkest mood. Ethan only wanted to push a little bit of his limit, but it seemed he had overdone it.
"How can I speak if you keep trying to break my jaw!?"
"Speak now!"
Ethan then told him about what happened with Hanna and the two guards, who had tried to harass her, but he exaggerated a few things, so it would sound more dramatic, stirring Will’s anger even more.
"Do you want me to send her back to the palace? I am handling those two mutts, but there were a lot of mutts inside the palace, who had their eyes on her. Without the Luna and the Alpha there and also me, no one could guarantee she would be safe and the guards would not try to pull the same thing with her. She is a beauty, to be honest." Ethan found himself being choked for his last statement. "I am not saying it... in a lustful way!" He slapped Will’s hands away and coughed. "Geez! You are really trying to kill me!"
Right at that time, Trion walked in on them and he let out a shriek to see their compromising position.
"Did I... interrupt... something?" Trion asked hesitantly.
"Don’t be ridiculous," Ethan grumbled. "Can’t you see I am half dead here?"
Will got off of Ethan’s body and sat down next to him, his expression was so dark, as if he was thinking about something excessively.
Ethan pushed himself off of the ground and wiped the drying out blood from his face, he could feel a few of his bones had broken and it would take quite some time for such injuries to heal. Damn.
"So do you want me to take her back to the palace?" Ethan received a nasty and angry look from Will. "Well, I will take that as a ’no’."
On the other hand, Trion didn’t dare to approach the two men, as he stayed at a distance from them. He didn’t want to be caught in whatever problem they were having right now.
"Why don’t you go see her? Hanna looked traumatized by what happened and she would quietly cry while no one was seeing. She looks pale and doesn’t eat much..."
