Iris was dumbfounded to read what Cane said. She was utterly speechless. Was he being cunning with her too?

In their minds, someone, who was capable of executing the five alphas and treating their bodies so cruelly after that, wouldn’t have a single gentle bone in their body, nor would they be able to find in themselves to be kind.
