Aria stared at a small casket with fresh flowers on top of it. A derisive smile plastered on her lips when she read the name.
-Crystal Nera Nortern-
This little casket was where Iris and Cane’s first daughter rested forever. Aria read the words and her eyes flickered with malice.
This was Iris and Cane’s baby. She couldn’t accept the fact the two of them had their own baby! They didn’t deserve any form of happiness at all!
Aria took the flower and threw it on the ground, as she stomped on it, her eyes filled with rage and she was breathing heavily when she glared at the little casket.
"Burn this place," Aria said. "Burn this place and destroyed it, with that Cane will come running out of the pack," she said coldly and then left.
But, her eyes caught another casket, where she saw a very familiar name on it. It was her former Missy, Leane, Cane’s destined mate. Someone, who supposed to spend the rest of her life with him.
If it was not because of alpha Gerald and his greediness, the ten years slavery would never happen and her missy would still be alive. Probably by then, Aria would have different ending and she wouldn’t harbor any desire toward Cane.
But right now, it was already very late for her to stop herself from wanting him.
This was all alpha Gerald’s fault and by extent, Iris!
She took Cane away from her and had the audacity to have babies with him. That woman deserved fate worse than death!
"Burn and destroy this place and you will get him out of their lair," Aria said. She averted her eyes from her missy’s casket and then walked out of there, letting the warriors to do the deed.
"Do you really think with this he will come out?" alpha Nolan asked, while alpha Gallot was eager to destroy this place and had a sick idea to get the baby out of her casket to taunt Cane for threatening him with his son’s life.
However, he immediately curbed his own idea because he was still afraid Cane would do something impulsive and killed his son instead, he still remembered the look on his eyes when they met earlier. He looked crazy enough to go on with his threat.
Not to mention with the fact he knew him quite well, though they didn’t meet so often, but a person with Character like Cane was someone that you wouldn’t easily forget, thus he didn’t voice it out.
Meanwhile, Redmond watched everything unfolded, as he kept quiet. His eyes fell on Aria, who was smiling derisively, while watching the family’s tomb was being destroyed.
==============================
It was the Howling Wolf pack’s family tomb, where all the dead member of the pack was buried there.
’The pack house and the fortress were built entirely to protect the people from the attack and monster, while this place was built outside of the fortress because the warriors wouldn’t have to worry about protecting it if we are under attack. So, it wouldn’t be another spot that needed to be protected.
If it was built inside the fortress, in case of emergency situation, they will try to protect this place, even if they were told not to.’
All of that was explained by Cane long time ago when he took Iris to the family’s burial ground months ago for the first time and for her that made sense, because no matter what, even if it was only the remaining of the dead bodies of the people that they knew, buried deep in the ground, there would always be a sentiment there.
Even so, a pack tomb was not something that could be built anywhere and abandoned, therefore, it was built closest to Goffa mountain, the mountain that stretched across two pack, this was also a strategic point for a battle.
However, how could Iris sit idly when she learned someone disturbed her baby!? There was no way she would stay still and let that happened!
If Iris had to kill her way to stop them, she would!
"Luna, please... calm your anger, you need to think about this thoroughly, you can’t be impulsive," Aliana said, she tried to stop Iris from rushing out of the pack house and went to the Goffa mountain herself. "Alpha Cane will handle this matter, you don’t need to worry. I believe the alpha will do what he needed to do. Alpha Cane must have gone to the family tomb’s himself."
Not only Crystal, but it was the place where his family rested. Cane must be very enraged by now and more affected by their enemy’s move.
"Then I will meet with him in the Goffa Mountain," Iris said sternly. She stood up and was about to leave the room when Aliana stopped her again, which made her upset. "Step back, Aliana."
Aliana shook her head.
After the crows managed to be burned, the bleak winter sky could be seen again, but this weather made anyone restless and depress.
