Elder Rose had been observing the luna ever since they met in the gates. Her gaze was deep and she was intertwining her fingers on top of the table with her body leaned forward to get a better look of Iris.
On the other hand, Iris glanced briefly at Abby, who didn’t seem to be interested to see her displaying her power.
They had made a deal with each other before, but as it turned out, what happened was out of their hand and there was no way to keep it as a secret anymore, since it would be ridiculous and more unbelievable if Iris denied her power now people had seen her and witnessed with their own eyes how strong her power was.
Without saying anything, Iris stood up and let out her power. It was as easy as breathing for her now.
The dining room was flooded with light, as the people from the Holy Kingdom were astounded by what Iris could do. They knew how the divine power was and what they felt from Iris was exactly that, if they could say, she had stronger divine power than Abby.
For a moment, they didn’t know what to say and Abby could feel they glanced at her, as if asking how someone from this continent held the power of the Serafim? As if she could magically find the answer for the question.
Abby remained silence and for the first time, Liam stared at her, his gaze was complicated.
"There is no way this could happen..." The other elder muttered to herself, as she watched the divine power that Iris displayed. She was Rose, the previous Serafim before Abby. She stepped down from her position when they figured out the sickly baby, who is no other than Abby was the next Serafim.
Now, Rose was over sixty five years old and she formally stepped down from her role ten years ago, which meant, Abby was formally introduced as the Serafim when she was only ten years old.
The twisted part of the whole thing was; Serafim Rose was Abby’s mother, but she was more of a mentor for her than a mother and by time, Abby used to act around her as her disciple instead of her daughter.
The first time Abby was introduced with her role as the Serafim was when she was three years old.
Ever since then, Abby’s life revolved around all the thing that related to the Serafim and her role. The responsibility on her shoulders and the expectation from the people around them.
Rose was a great Serafim, she led a great war fifty years ago, where their continent was attacked by a massive number of monsters, which led to the extinction of the salamander and that was around the time when Lu’s soul used Haco as his vessel.
Rose had another daughter, Gabriel, which was Abby’s older sister, but the age gap between them was too far, thus the two of them were not really close, because Gabriel could be mistaken as her mother instead.
