The blood relation between Serafim Abby and Elder Rose was not discussed much because they put their focus on the role of Serafim itself.
This was the reason why they didn’t talk much about the fact elder Rose was the Serafim’s mother. It was a secret that was not really a secret among the people in the Andelus continent, especially with the younger generation.
"Cane, don’t you think there is something more?" Iris supported her body with her elbows and stared at Cane, while the alpha caressed her back.
"There is definitely something more into the story," Cane agreed.
It would be hard to believe Cane was actually having a lengthy discussion with someone, discussing about everything when the alpha used not to give an explanation when he gave an order.
Even more when no matter how hard the conversation was; the two of them seemed relax and talked this out as if this was only another hurdle that they needed to overcome.
Iris then rested her head against his chest and murmured. "Why do you think Abby and I look similar? The similarity is hard to ignore."
Cane knew what Iris wanted to talk about. This was their current concern too, about Iris’s origin. But, it was hard to tell when there was no one to confirm about this.
Iris sighed and stretched out her hand to caress his stomach, feeling his abs against her palm and then moved down to slip her hand under his pants, which caused Cane to groan.
"Iris..." Cane hissed. He noticed Iris had been like this for the past few days. She seemed to find another way to get a pleasure.
Cane didn’t find this weird, he only thought Iris wanted to explore about sex more, which he gladly complied. Before, she liked it when she was on top of him and now this. Cane didn’t complain and play along with her.
However, before things could escalate, they heard a knock on the door and Ethan’s voice travelled inside the room, which annoyed Iris. She lifted her head and glared at the closed door because of the interruption.
It almost looked like she was ready to berate the gamma for bothering them at late night.
Sensing her annoyance, Cane laughed and pulled her back for a hug. "There must be something important."
"I know," Iris said sullenly.
Cane then allowed Ethan to enter the room and the look that Iris gave to him telling him that he was not welcomed here, which made the gamma wanted to cry. Why the luna looked so fierce by day?
"Kellan managed to get Diandem pack, alpha Colter is with him. He will be publicly executed a week from now in Diandem pack’s fortress, unless you and the representative of the Holy Kingdom meet him in person and enter Diandem on your own willingly."
In another word, Cane and the representative would come to Diandem pack without any protection and surrendered themselves to Kellan. No one could guarantee their safety if they agreed to the term.
"What?" Iris frowned. "That’s suicide. You will not come, right?"
The news came just now and Ethan immediately delivered it to the alpha.
Iris then straightened her back and sat down, she looked at Ethan and Cane back and forth. "Don’t you think this is bad? How dare he suggested that?" She frowned, because she could sense Cane was not surprised at all.
