This was the second time Eron found Zale had been following them when he supposed to stay behind. This young boy was a nightmare!
But now, Eron wondered how could Zale follow them for days without them noticing it. Before also like this, they didn’t knot that he came along until days later, when it was already too late to send him back.
"Let me go!" Zale growled at Eron, as he had an ironclad grip on his collar.
However, from a far they could hear another warrior informed them that they found another one that followed them too.
"Lil Thing is here!"
All the warriors were already familiar with this fluffy white bear and actually they liked this lazy bear, they simply couldn’t understand how it could turn very ferocious in the battle, but barely move most of the day.
Lil Thing wriggled its butt when it walked leisurely among the warriors and nudged Zale.
"Not only you come here, but you also bring Lil Thing with you!" Eron was really upset.
Yet, Zale retorted. "I didn’t bring Lil Thing with me, this bear is the one that followed me, because of it you found me!" Zale threw a dagger look at Lil Thing. His hiding place was discovered because he had to take care of this white furball along the journey, since Lil Thing refused to go back.
"Both of you have the same personality!" Eron growled.
But, before Zale could talk back to Eron, Iris came over because she heard the commotion and the first thing she saw was Lil Thing, since this creature’s size really stood out among the warriors and knights. "What happened here? Lil Thing?"
"Not only Lil Thing, luna." Eron pushed Zale forward so Iris could see him. "He is also here."
"Zale?" Iris was speechless. The thing that surprised her was because she didn’t even surprise to see Zale was here. This was not the first time he had been following her, but obviously, this wouldn’t be the last time.
Zale lowered his head. He knew that he couldn’t come because they were going to battle prince Kellan, who behind there were the remaining four packs, including Celestial moon pack.
To put it simple, this was not the place for him, yet he still wanted to come, so he could be close to his luna.
"What should we do, luna? Should we send them back? They must be able to find their way back," Eron suggested.
Right now, they were taking a break and the alpha was with the Elders along with the merchant, the beta and the gamma, thus leaving only Iris to decide what they needed to do with these two creatures.
As if sensing the situation, Lil Thing moved closer toward Iris and acted spoiled, as it rubbed its head against her shoulder, asking to be scratched behind its right ear.
However, Iris’s heart ached to see how Lil Thing lost its left ear. How she had the heart to send these two back?
"Have you eaten?" Iris asked Zale, as she scratched Lil Thing’s ear. Zale shook his head. "When the last time you ate?"
"The last time I ate was yesterday morning. Lil Thing ate all of my games!" Zale growled at Lil Thing, but the bear ignored him.
Iris sighed, in the end, she ordered Eron to prepare food for the two of them and let them came, since there was no point to send them back.
"Luna, you are too kind," Eron groaned.
"Be nice, Eron. He is only a child."
Eron didn’t agree with her, but he couldn’t deny the order.
Later on, Iris told Cane when he returned to their carriage and the alpha didn’t seem to mind it.
Having Lil Thing and Zale would add more protection to his mate, so why would he mind it? In turn, Cane told Iris about the brief meeting he had with the elders.
"Cane, don’t you think that’s too dangerous?" The thought of Cane entered Diandem pack with Elder Xarex and Abby only made Iris restless. She didn’t want Cane to be in the enemy’s nest, but even more for him to be near Kellan.
Alpha Derick didn’t want to fight Cane, not only because he was his best friend’s son, but also because he had saved Cezi’s life. freewēbnoveℓ.com
