Lou’s condition made Iris very nervous. She couldn’t keep her mind straight when it was less than a month for him to get the cure he needed.
"There are many poisonous plant and disease in Ande Continent that you don’t have here. It is understandable that you lack of knowledge about this poison," Abby said to Grace when the healer looked very frustrated with her ability.
Meanwhile, Iris stayed silent the whole time. She held Lou’s hand and tried to heal him, but the problem was; Lou was a magic user, not a shifter, she couldn’t see his spirit.
Iris blinked her eyes. "Where is Cedric?" she asked, as if something just crossed her mind.
"He is with alpha Cane and alpha Cezi in the main tent. They are discussing the Golden Light pack," Grace replied and Iris immediately stood up to go there. "Luna? What happened?"
However, Iris already left, while her warriors scrambled to follow her. She didn’t have time for explanation, if there was a chance for her to save Lou, she didn’t want to waste her time.
Right now, they already reached Golden Light pack’s territory, but the people in the pack didn’t give them an easy time, they resisted to open their gates, showing unwillingness to join Cane’s cause.
Therefore, it would take a while before they could reach the Capital City and they hoped Decratic wouldn’t have regained his strength once they were there.
All this time, there was no news about him, but it didn’t mean it was a good thing, because the last report Cane received from Celestial Moon pack from one of his spies, it was more than two months ago. free𝑤ebnovel.com
There was also this dragon that they had to be worried about.
"Good morning, Luna!" Zale rushed to approach her when he saw the luna. It had been a while since he met her, because he was busy with his training to be a warrior. For this, instead of Zephyr, he got Joel as his tutor.
"Good morning, Zale," Iris replied his greeting hastily.
"Where are you going, luna? Are you looking for the alpha?" Zale asked, he ran beside Iris, but he seemed didn’t put an effort at all and if Iris was not in hurry, she would notice that this young boy had gotten taller since the last time she saw him.
"Yes," Iris replied almost immediately. She wanted to see Cedric, but meeting with Cane was always welcomed.
"But, the alpha is not in the main tent, he is going with Koda somewhere," Zale replied.
Hearing that, Iris stopped in her track. "Where is he going?" she frowned.
"I don’t know, but do you want me to track him down?" Zale asked eagerly.
"Do you think you can track the alpha down?" Zephyr asked. "Don’t cause trouble and roam around recklessly."
"I can do it!" Zale said confidently. He didn’t want to be looked down, especially in front of the luna. This young boy was still a stubborn brat, but he always talked nicely only with Iris.
Iris shook her head. "It’s okay." But then she remembered something. "Zale, come with me."
"Okay." His face lit up. He didn’t even ask where they would go or what he needed to do, he was like a puppy, who followed its master.
Iris went to the main tent and found Cedric with Cezi.
"I am sorry, but can I have a moment with Cedric?" Iris asked Cezi politely, Zale followed behind her, entering the tent, while the warriors waited outside.
He looked smug because he could enter the tent and they couldn’t. But, he gasped in surprise when he saw Cedric was there.
"What is he doing here?!" Zale blinked his eyes in disbelieve. "He is the knight, right?" Of course, he recognized Cedric, after all, he used to be the one, who discussed strategy with alpha Cane. His role was important for the people in the Holy Kingdom, but he had been missing, along with his other friend, Liam.
"Tone down your voice," Iris said sternly. Most of the people was still unaware of Cezi’s existence and Iris wanted to keep it that way.
Zale immediately clamped his mouth shut.
"I will take my leave," Cezi replied to Iris’s request, he bowed at her and then left.
Cane had started to warm up with him now after he was left with orders without giving a chance to be part of discussion and all that time, Cezi didn’t even make a single complain.
Before he left the tent, Cezi glanced at Iris over his shoulder, he could see why Cane dotted on her so much. She was the kindness person in this continent if he could say and he saw himself as still having a debt of gratitude to her that needed to be repaid.
